I know that can't be accurate. I don't know anyone under the age of 25 who has ever sent an email. Texts perhaps?

I teach and you couldn’t be more incorrect.

If our 11 conference wins are...

Minnesota(sucks)

Rutgers(sucks)

At Penn State(non NCAA tourney team, not as good as thought to be)

USC(not good)

At Ohio State(won't make the tourney likely, not as good as thought to be)

at Northwestern(non tourney team)

Maryland(meh, super bubble, hard to say if they'll make the tourney or not)

UCLA(tourney team? Maybe? Maybe not?)

Penn State

At Washington (terrible)

Ohio State

Yea I don't see those 11 conference wins getting you in. I don't care about what quad wins you have, committee looks at that subjectively enough to know, that isn't a good resume attached to a resume with zero accomplishments in the non conference outside of getting blown out. So I think they have to win 12+ and 1 or more has to be stealing a win over Purdue, Wisconsin or Michigan State.

You are really bending yourself into a pretzel to try to come up with a way that 11-9 doesn’t get them in.  Basically by hand picking these ‘wins’ to make IU’s resume look bad you are leaving IU with only losses for the season that are quad.  That’s basically what an Oklahoma team’s resume was a co yo ole of years ago when they got left out EXCEPT they were 19-14 and not 20-11

“Mackenzie’s deal is kind of unique because the crazy thing is Mackenzie’s mom reached out to coach Woodson with a text,” Hunter said on the Hoosier Hysterics podcast last week.  “And so that’s initially how it got started. We didn’t know him, but just obviously (Mgbako) being from the New Jersey area, and Coach (Woodson) being a Knicks guy, and just the people around. So she actually reached out to coach first and inquired about us recruiting her son.  So that’s initially how it kind of came about.”

Woodson says he first saw Tucker three years ago at IMG.

"I watched him work and said, this kid is really skilled. He can do a lot of things, but they told me he might go to elsewhere, so I walked away."

Then last spring, Tucker's father called Woodson to see if he was still interested in his son.

"I said absolutely. I'll be on a plane tomorrow to talk to you about him. We were able to get him to Indiana."

Man, I felt from the beginning that Woodson is a lazy recruiter, but this just confirms it. Walking away from a 5 star recruit because he "might" not be interested? Unreal.

What I have found is that younger people only use email when they are required to by employers, schools, etc., and that is difficult to get them to do. They never use emails to communicate with each other. My employer has numerous employees under 25 and we went to WhatsApp for official communication because they never looked at their email accounts. I also worked for a college and the college found that email communication to students didn't get responses unless the students also allowed their parents to read their email accounts.

I wonder if Sisley decommitting would cause an instant "retirement"?

This is just my opinion, Chris, Stuhoo, Jerry and many others are in the know, but if he hasn’t made an announcement about retirement after the Illinois game, Trent Sisley decommiting isn’t going to phase him either.  Now he may get some pressure from Dolson, but he had 0 commitments last year around this time so I don’t see that changing anything

Because those are our most likely wins. Let's be honest, we're going to be a dumpster fire at Pressure, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Oregon. Probably all 3 will be 15+ point losses.

100%

Trying to talk myself into just being “chill” and expect nothing to happen til seasons end and just enjoy the rest of the year knowing once it’s over he’ll be gone….but the thought of a chance of him getting kicked to the curb early is still grasping on for dear life, ha.

The reasons i want an interim coach are 1) we’ll get actual information from people in the know about who is going to be here next, we won’t get much until he’s officially fired/“retired” and 2) because i think our team is talented enough to make a run but don’t want Woodson to get the credit for it and it somehow change things

But that’s not what you said.  You said ‘I don’t know anyone under the age of 25 that has sent an e-mail.’

I apologize if anyone inferred that I thought Sisley was going to go elsewhere. It was just a hypothetical as in "what if" another year with ZERO high school recruits....just curious if that would trigger any red flags...I love that Sisley is coming to IU for IU and not the coach...We need more Sisleys!  Thanks, guys and gals!

Why are we discussing Sisley decommitting?

Are there rumors I'm not aware of, or are we just talking hypothetically here.

He is in on it with the lizard people. In a plot to further destabilize the Woodites, he is going to temporarily decommit right in the middle of our next beatdown loss, triggering a confusing "fire Woodson( clap clap...clap clap clap) " chant by the Northwestern fans. To which Woodson will double tech his way out of the arena, lighting a stogie as he exits. As the orange glow and stench of the Swisher sweet fades, Woody will fail to ever be seen again, other than the occasional grainy photo of a familiar outline lumbering through Dunn meadow.
