IUHAHN81 Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 Hasn't Stevens said his dream job is IU? Hasn't it been rumored that he's said that he'd coach IU one day before it's over? I could be wrong on that. Can't completely remember but if I'm Dolson, that's my pitch. It's now or never buddy. We hire Dusty and he's here for the long haul. Whatcha wanna do? Again, maybe I'm dreaming up that I've read he's said those things. Haha KnightsChair and 8bucks 2
Hornsby Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 I think we all know Woodson doesn’t put in any extra time and effort so why would an assistant coach with a newborn be expected to put in extra work? Leadership comes in many ways but leadership by example is one most leaders do naturally, but not WoodsonJudging by the game they coached without Woodson vs minn two years ago thy aren't impressive. Minnesota was down to six scholarship players and we barely won.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

Haha It was reported to be his "dream job" many moons ago... before Boston... and he passed the last time IU came calling... maybe the overall situation has changed enough to make him and the Mrs reconsider... not holding my breath... Also, how long has he been out of coaching? Longer than The Parasite King was, I think. Napleshoosier, IUHAHN81 and bigrod 2 1

If Dusty is on the table, this COULD be Brad's last opportunity. UNLESS, he'd be willing to come coach from age 65-70 just to say he's been coach at IU! HAHA! Chris007 1

Hornsby Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 I played in an event with Kenya about a year and half ago. Nice guy, but had just had an unplanned newborn and looked a bit rough. Purely conjecture on my part, but he just didn’t seem like a guy that would be putting in the extra hours on a scout. Look, we want you to express yourself, okay? Now if you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some people choose to wear more and we encourage that, okay? You do want to express yourself, don't you?Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk go iu bb and Withnail 1 1

Stevens is 48.. so his dad has to be close to 70 or beyond... if Brad wants to coach at IU while his dad is still alive, I'd guess that he needs to get after it... no clue about his dad's health... but 70 is old (I know, because I am one) :D :D thebigweave, IUHAHN81, Ryno6284 and 4 others 4 1 2

Hoosierfan2017 Posted January 14, 2025 Posted January 14, 2025 I would almost take Dusty over Brad. Brad hasn’t coached college basketball in 12 years and hasn’t coached at all in four years. Does he really have the fire this job needs? MemphisHoosier, bigrod, KNOBYDOX and 2 others 5

NBA head coach is probably a better lifestyle than college head coach, and he already stepped down from the nba job.

I actually think what he’s been doing the last few years is better for us than his coaching. Learning how to put a team together. No one forgets how to coach. But not everyone can assemble a team. I dominated the junior high ranks for 6 years coaching, then took 10 years off and came back better than ever. :-) Napleshoosier, AZ Hoosier, MemphisHoosier and 10 others 12 1
