He hasn't done anything. He didn't hire any of the coaches that you're trying to give him credit for. He hired Mike Woodson as a band-aid that still has much to prove at the age of 65 now that the AA he inherited is gone. An upgrade from Archie Miller, sure, that isn't hard to do.

I realize IU football has been bad for a century....IU has had some terrible AD's in the same time frame. Not a coincidence. If you haven't noticed, football is the driving force that moves the needle in college athletics. IU and their AD's, Dolson included, can't seem to figure that out. Hiring Mike Hart or Justin Frye furthers that.

There’s guys all over football in college and the NFL that are OC’s in name alone. There’s a lot more to being an OC than calling plays on game day.

Don't disagree, but I'd prefer my head football coach have some semblance of prior play-calling duties before taking a head coaching job for the first time, among many other things.

My wife has family in spencer. When we make it back to visit I will walk over there for a beer, but haven't had their moz sticks yet. It's on the list.

You do realize in the business world, CEO's and managers, leave positions all the time. The new leaders aren't just hiring new personnel.  It's their job to keep things running smoothly,  or make the proper adjustments. Sometimes it's not all about who you hire or fire,

Mike Hart is the ultimate lose-lose. It's highly, highly likely he won't succeed, cause he would be beholden to who his coordinators are, just like Allen was. And if he succeeds, he'll leave the nanosecond the Michigan job opens up.

Dolson must not being getting the signs that this would be a bad hire

We have the worst P5 college football program in America getting ready to make an extremely underwhelming hire and a basketball team that will be lucky to make the tournament this year. But yes, keep shilling for Scott Dolson.

It's not a requirement, but it certainly helps, especially when you've never been tasked with evaluating and subsequently hiring a support staff, something Hart nor Frye have ever done either.
