If Dolson isn't letting the new coach hire his own staff it's likely why the applicant pool is so terrible (not saying this is the case).

Have not heard his name but that doesn't mean anything. Someone also mentioned Lincoln Riley's little brother who is the OC at Clemson who was at TCU last year. He is an OC, a big-time recruiter who calls his own plays.

Hearing Herman wouldn’t take the job because his contract states he has to be the only Herman in the university and with Herman Wells he’d always be number 2.

I have typically only been an observer of the thread. I do love a nice flight tracking day though.....

I don't know much about all of the candidates but some of the areas popping up on the incoming flights are:

Dayton

Columbus (OH & IN),

Bentonville, Arkansas

Hilton Head

Winston Salem, NC (I think that's a Cook thing to be honest),

St. Louis

and Middleton, WI .... 

since I don't follow all of the candidates as much as I would a basketball search, I have no idea if any of these mean anything at all.

If we throw $15M at Tom Allen to go away, but turn around and hire Mike Hart, we'll be an even bigger laughingstock than we are now.

FTR I would probably be ok with him being OC, but man, IU is a tough place to learn how to be head coach.

I think the owner of Goldcasters has a business, a kid, or something that makes him go to Dayton a lot. I remember that from my previous flight tracking searches.

Remember to check the departures because we could be going to meet some candidates. We're not going to make Candle from Toledo to come here when he plays for a championship on Saturday

No special knowledge but it kinda feels like it’s gonna be Candle. Let’s see if we can pry Frye — who, among the four mentioned this AM, would be my second choice — to OC and call plays.

Only ones that differ from the arrivals are Terre Haute, Cincinnati and a couple of PA flights (Harrisburg & Latrobe)
