Perhaps if they win the bowl game then ok lol Sent from my SM-A326U using Tapatalk Disagree, he is the one who hired Walt Bell, which was honestly one of the dumbest coordinator hires ever. Glad he finally did the right thing, and I am thrilled we pulled out a close one today, but we’re climbing out of a hole Tom Allen dug with his absurd personnel decisions (would throw Hiller in there too). hoopsta007, GoIU8, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote

Wisconsin flat out refused to take the win we were handing them. If you’re looking at the last two weeks, we are far from the worst team in the conference. This is a different team post Walt Bell. We sure Dolson won’t just promote Carey to HC after this stretch of better play rather than a search? Quote

IUFootballHappyHappyJoyJoy Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I was actually rooting for a shorthanded Wisconsin to overcome the odds and beat Indiana. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Rick Bozich - By beating Virginia Tech, Louisville improved to 8-1. This is @JeffBrohm’s 10th season as a head coach — and his sixth season with 8 or more wins. Hope PUke is crying in their beer. But why can't IU ever land a coach that can mirror Brohm's record or at the very least just come close? Rhetorical question! Alford Bailey and thebigweave 2 Quote
TTT Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Recently, IU did have a winning puzzle but the pieces were out of order. Husky sure is a fun dog to watch. Quote

Much better for us to build some momentum going into next year so the program doesn’t go into the toilet. Even if by some miracle we make a bowl and a year is added to Allen’s contract it wouldn’t really affect anything I don’t think. The key date will be December 2024 when we will only owe half of his remaining contract instead of all of it. Half of another year in terms of the buyout won’t move the needle in terms of the decision to keep him at that date. rcbowla 1 Quote

The only good thing about a win like today is that we can now say we've won back to back games against a program that owned us for two decades and would regularly beat us by 50+ points. Quote
Alford Bailey Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 It would be be a very IU football thing to beat three bad teams remaining go to a bowl and give Tom Allen an extension after going 6-21 in conference last three years IUFootballHappyHappyJoyJoy 1 Quote
TTT Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I estimate a 60% chance IU makes it to a bowl game. If 2024 matches or improves by at least even one game which I estimate a 45% chance…T.A. will go nowhere nor should he. Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 60% is definitely high, I’d cut that in half. Quote

Better to bottom out than risk another season. The basketball program would’ve been in a worse place if he won enough to last enough year. Same with the football program. This was his third conference win in his last 24 attempts. 12.5%. Time for him to leave. Alford Bailey 1 Quote

That's the team IUFB just beat. Wisconsin didn't execute and IUFB did. It's that simple. Credit to the Hoosiers and what kind of progress they have shown. They've been doing something right and we should give credit to the entire program. Yes we are playing better. But that is not a good Wisconsin team by any stretch. We hung on scoring 3 points in the second half. Quote

Yeah, not as good as UM, O$U, PSU, Maryland or Rutgers, but good enough to represent that weak ars division, nonetheless. Give some credit to a team that has been playing a lot better since the OC change. Something is going good for us here. Quote
