They stay with the guy and it usually ends badly for those women.

Of course, you also seem to think that Beard was falsely accused so it makes sense that you'd believe those guys you know where too. Regardless, Beard will not replace Woodson as IU's coach. Aren’t you the one that repeatedly said you can’t believe the police when it came to MM? what’s different? Listen the point still stands though. I think if you look at how many rape kits are unopened and how lenient judges have been (remember the Stanford swimmer who got off easy because the judge said " he had promise"- got caught red handed by two guys in alley) and reality is that in most cases it's a he said vs she said situation.... I mean congrats on being a guy and thinking there's no correlation I guess. I'm also a guy who was wrongly accused at one time but you know what there's data that shows it's far worse for women. In a society were manhood by many is defined by your count or the type of women you get.... u don't think that leads to bad situations with a person typically much stronger than the female partner? It's unfortunate when well meaning guys get wrongly accused but that's no reason to excuse a very glaring problem leaning towards women. If you know any well balanced women, talk to them. Any smart women probably has an emergency buddy to call the cops if they don't hear from them within a certain time period. Typically guys don't have to think like that. It doesn't hurt to have empathy while still acknowledging that yeah sometimes good guys get caught in the crossfires. Ngw7183, J34, OGIUAndy and 1 other 2 2
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 CBS eye on sports Parrish/Norlander did an entire segment on Parrish's dislike for IU fans. Seems like it boils down to Archie firing/Woody hiring and he wants Indiana to fail so badly. He denies its because he is friends with Archie. They trailed that segment and selected several bubble teams to discuss if they thought they would make the Dance. Both Parrish and Norlander said NO for Indiana. Which currently would be the general consensus. We've got our work cut out for us, that is for sure. I believe this team can do it, However I want Indiana to be in a place to not be a bubble team or worse. thebigweave 1

It started before that. He went on some IU podcast when Archie was hired and they asked what it would take to see Archie fail at IU and he said that thought never crossed his mind and he didn’t see any way Archie would fail and he would win big. Clearly he did fail and people brought it up to him throughout his time at IU. Gary Parrish loves him self some Gary Parrish so he went straight condescending towards those fans that called him out. Parrish likes to be right so he doubled down on Archie after he was fired to make it look like IU administration was in the wrong and did iu pay 10 million to get worse. My guess is he wrote that whole thing out of spite to IU fans that pissed in his cornflakes. Double bonus for him if he was right. Make IU fans mad and IU getting worse. Turns out they got better and now he looked dumb again in the eyes of some of the fans. lol. Last year after hey finished tied for second he still said the season should have been looked at as a failure because they were projected to finish 1st. No mention of how that second place finish compared to the last 7 years. lol. Dude can be a condescending jackhole if he doesn’t get his way. I just laugh at it now. I like most his stuff until he gets full of himself on a topic and then I tend to turn it off. Norlander still rocks though WayneFleekHoosier, OliviaPope40, Ryno6284 and 1 other 4

realTomCrean Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 1 hour ago, Hovadipo said: Hiding all posts about *that* topic from here on out. Please rant about literally anything else. Jacksonian Politics is on my mind. Firing his VP Calhoun midway through term and adding Van Buren (NY) to the role really ignited the long reign of political parties in my opinion. There were tariff disagreements between Calhoun (SC) and Jackson that almost cost America a war between federal powers and the state of SC. I believe Jackson was approved for a military campaign against SC by the War Bill of 1833 (uncertain but something like that). Even with this divide between Calhoun and Jackson, the Democratic Party grew exponentially during the Jacksonian Age. Thanks to Van Buren’s supporters of wealthier East coast individuals and the King of the Populist in Jackson from Tennessee, the party had a firm foundation that the whigs could not compete with. George Washington had distain for political parties, though several notable Founders enjoyed the idea of them, notably Jefferson and Adams. Without parties, common men from the Frontier states like Andrew Jackson would not have the capability to be elected, of course populist voting laws in the 1820’s aided in his election. Though destruction of the National Bank and establishment of Specie Circular were cornerstone achievements for Jackson, it is also important to reflect on Jackson’s initiative toward formally bringing up how to abolish slavery without tearing the infant country apart. Jackson played an integral role in forming a more populist true democracy, as the pillars of the republic constituted by the Founders were decaying in effectiveness some roughly 50 years later.
