Good for him. I always thought Ball St was a solid job. Decent and fun campus for a mid major. In central Indiana near FW and Indy, so you have a pretty natural recruiting ground. The right coach could build a competitive program there.

Luke Brown will be all American next year. Just kidding, I hope Coach Lewis does really well at Ball St. Hopefully he can bring in some Indiana kids and get them rolling.

If I'm Lewis, I'm going after dudes in the portal from the region. Phinisee, Lander, Dontaie Allen, transfers from Ohio State, Michigan State, Illinois, Louisville, Xavier etc. I mean why not? No reason to try and keep that Ball State roster together.

They haven’t done squat because they haven’t been well coached. Whitford has had talent to win in the MAC and hasn’t gotten it done.

I went to Ball State, so I still follow them from afar. James Whitford was hands down the worst coach I've seen at this level, anywhere, and BSU kept him for 9 years. He sucked at everything, and I mean everything that a coach needs to do. Lazy recruiter, low-energy, full of excuses, more worried about hurting players' feelings than trying to coach them. Going from Whitford to Lewis is going to be quite a shock for the players who do return. Hopefully it's not too ugly in the beginning, but it won't be a quick fix.

Will be interesting to see how he does. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Cronin suddenly became a good offensive coach after he hired Lewis.

Happy for Michael that he got a HC gig. Just wish it was at a better place than BSU. I think Lewis is too talented for that school. I was hoping for a Xavier type school somewhere in the midwest.

But I hope he over achieves!
