Yeah it's always interesting to hear the public answers. I honestly don't buy Dolson thinking of Thad on a plane trip home from New York lol.

I think other than the 6th grade teacher story (we ARE awesome...) and his remarks about RMK- that comment stood out to me- If you want to know if you can trust someone, it has to be face to face.. that was awesome and shows respect that he expects and perhaps a little RMK in that comment as well..

I'm all for taking more threes but would like it even more if we were making more threes.  Gotta have makers and not the kind that JUST make when completely open but the kind that can take and make difficult shots.  Watch who is left in the tourney and those teams have those kids.  We need to get those kids.

I'll be happy to see a team that plays harder, smarter, and is more fundamentally sound. That will be a major improvement.

Also, I think we need one or two of these guys.

That's all fine and dandy but we didn't land him X years ago.  We landed him at age 63.  Does he make it through multiple recruiting cycles?  We'll see.

It might sound odd but this comment right here is what stood out most to me from the entire press conference.  To me, Woodson basically saying "don't waste my time if you're not serious and I won't waste your time if I'm hired".  I don't know, I liked the no-nonsense of it all and I think that attitude will translate well down to recruits.

Calbert is an all time great and that won't change, but the reported Zoom 'check the box interview' that Calbert supposedly got?

Woody is a grown @$$ man and wasn't having any of that.

Live in Virginia, so I tried to stream Dakich so I could hear the Woody interview. Unfortunately, I was a tad late and missed it. And after about 30 seconds, I had had enough. DD didn't trash the Matta hire, but deemed it unnecessary. MIKE DON'T NEED NOTHIN'. HE DON'T NEED ANY HELP. HE DON'T NEED NO ADVISOR. 

Um, If we're to believe Dolson, Woody asked for the resources to help and guide him through learning the ropes of coaching NCAA basketball. And by that, I don't mean Xs and Os -- or anything like that. There's a lotta sh-t you gotta know at this level. Matta knows it. Woody doesn't. 

Is he anti-Matta just because he's not an "IU guy?" ... Hell, he wants to be here, so why should that matter.

Woodson said he's going to start working on his staff after tonight and has a few names in mind. Guessing he'll be doing those 1 on 1 player meetings he was talking about today.
