madmax Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 IU would be lucky to get Chris Beard. I hope Dolson stops him before he gets to the airport. Hippopotamo, Indiana8585, JJacks and 1 other 4

TheDarkKnight69 Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Think we’ll know this week whether or not beard is the guy. If we make an offer I won’t be surprised if TT matches.
ap2345 Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Beard’s a really good coach. IU would be lucky to hire him. You guys should really stop relying on a couple tournament games to evaluate a coach. JJacks, GreatMcCracken’sGhost, madmax and 2 others 5
IU Scott Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I have watched a lot of TT games the last few years and never really like his offense. What I do like is that his team plays hard and doesn't ever give up. They are tenacious on defense and causes a lot of turnovers.

I like Beard's energy, but I don't see a successful offensive identity and the defense has dropped off. He is definitely better than Woodson/Fife/Alford, but I think there are other calls to make. Feathery Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I’d take Beard. His offense does struggle at times. He is on the list but his style doesn’t fit what Dolson said he is looking for in an attractive style. Zachetology 1

Solid candidate.
IU Scott Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Watching a lot of college games I have to wonder where these offensive coaches that Dolson is looking for. I see most offenses in the country looking exactly the same and they are not good. It is all guys standing around waiting for someone to beat their man off the dribble.
Golfman25 Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 If you want him, better not let him leave Indiana tonight.
Bowhunter Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I’d rather have Musselman Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners BtownStrength, Jeff_Boy_Ardee, Indiana8585 and 2 others 4 1
Jeff_Boy_Ardee Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 I think Beard is a solid upgrade from Archie, but I’m not sold on him as the top candidate especially if the money for him is what we think it has to be. He had two great runs followed by two .500 conference records and early exits. Reminds me too much of the Crean roller coaster.Wouldn’t be terribly upset with him but I think there are better options especially for 6 millionSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Trish, Hardwood83 and theriverpilot 3
Ghost of Rick Majerus Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 (edited) I really like Beard. His teams play hard and tough. And he is getting solid recruits to LUBBOCK. Imagine what he could do if he was actually at a school that stressed basketball. Plus he has a great personality for the big stage. He has my vote. But I'll be positive with whoever is hired. Got to believe that better days are ahead for our beloved Hoosiers. Edited March 22, 2021 by Ghost of Rick Majerus Stuhoo, HoosierHoopster, Woodsonshump and 2 others 5
8bucks Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Beard has shown he can get to the title game which seems then that he could win the title. The question with him is will this be near the floor level for him. If so, that is a pretty nice range. FWHoosier84 1
