Interesting how quiet it has been with two players: Rob Phinisee and Jerome Hunter.
 

Has phinisee said anything at all?

Jerome is a guy who I can see Woody really having a big  impact on his game.

Yes. Race is up there with Armaan for me. He's one shooting coach away from being an All-B10 player in a 4-1 offense.

Absolutely. Just read Woodson's presser transcript. Pretty much everything he says about offense, the three ball, the use of guys who can play more than one position, confidence, fits Hunter perfectly. I would bank on Hunter being much more involved offensively, and that's a good thing. I'd bank on the offense looking a hell of a lot better.

I know he will be in very high demand, but Armaan Franklin is also a guy that would be a perfect fit in the system Woody seems to prefer.

I really hope Geronimo stays, but I’m worried that he really wants to transfer somewhere closer to home. He’s been my favorite freshman to watch and was looking forward to watching him turn into a stud at IU.

I would like Race back but I don’t think he’d play as much in Woodson’s system he described yesterday.

I actually think he'd fit pretty well. He's athletic enough to often be able to guard 2-5 in a switch. He also was reputed to have a decent 3 point stroke coming in. Admittedly he only hit 30% last year and 20% this year, but everyone's shooting suffered under Archie so it's not inconceivable he could be in the 34-35% range next year.

In a different universe I'd like to replay this exact same team but with Woodson or Tim Buckley just to understand the affect a staff has on shooting. Maybe Archie and crew truly just don't know.. that they don't know how to teach shooting at the college speed. Archie is always like "they shoot a lot and shoot well in practice". Ok, but who is refining the mechanics of everyone's shots or calling out the variances in setups. No matter what the form is, make it dead nuts repeatable, just like Hulls.
