Must be nice to have a coach that can find a way to win a game when your kids are not playing well. They never led in regulation but still found a way to win. If "Fire Woodson" chants were off-putting to him, the chants he hears after a Brownellesque hiring will be horrific. I will bet $1000 of your hard earned money Brownell will not be the hire.

Again, it’s a new era folks. This. Looking at the searches for UK/UL last year, my expectations have been kept in check. UK is a blue blood program. If they had to move down their list because the heavy hitters wouldn’t go there, what makes us believe it’s different here? It’s not different. NIL changes the playing field. You don’t have to go to a blue blood to get great players because they will come with money and coaching regardless. Is this still a desired job? Sure for some. But Pearl, Drew, Few, Oats don’t need to come to IU. They have established programs where they can and are winning. I hope the white whale rumors are correct and we get the big fish. But I’m preparing myself for a McCollum, Wade, McMillan. I won’t be surprised given todays college basketball landscape. Magnanimous and go iu bb 2

Worth a read. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/2798730/2021/09/01/meet-ben-mccollum-the-division-ii-coach-winning-titles-and-turning-heads-across-college-basketball/ I'm sold... I still have a feeling Iowa will try to get him, and home may win out

Not only that, but with the way football revenue is flowing in these days for SEC and Big Ten schools, non-traditional basketball programs are receiving a ton of funny money, and they can spend on par with the basketball schools that actually care about being good. There’s a reason why IUBB can’t pry away Nate Oats, and it’s Nick Saban’s success. I’m surprised Georgia hasn’t found its way into the top 10 yet. skhoosier2 1

I watched a BM interview with Andy Katz and he would take much more into consideration when taking a job than it being the hometown team. theriverpilot, cybergates, HoosierSadaseci and 1 other 3 1

Popular Post cleeter Posted March 14 Popular Post Posted March 14 Alright, since Brad is over. I’m going cause a whole new crazy @$$ conspiracy. They’ve said a “coach out of left field”. How bout this……….Bruce is wanting to come to IU. Told Dolson last year he wanted one more year with his squad and a chance for Steven to get a job. Steven then leaves because IU won’t do coach in waiting, so he goes out to grind away and see what he’s got. Daddy Bruce coaches IU until Steven can have a chance to prove himself. I’ll hang up and listen. *in no way do I actually believe anything I just said. Just hoping to give someone a laugh.
