Yes, when Coach K announced his retirement, Coach Scheyer was named the immediate successor right before the 2021-2022 season.

That is my issue with the whole thing. Maybe because Woody is “retiring” you could make an announcement? I have a hard time seeing it.

He might not but I’m confused as to why he wouldn’t. To not hurt Woodson? He’s leaving. It’s officially a retirement, why would Woodson care? Dolsons number one priority should be IU. Once Stevens signs, you announced it unless there is a reason Stevens wants to wait.

I’d go to Woodson and say we want to announce this. If you truly care about IU being great again you’ll support this publicly so it’s not awkward and brad can get to work

I don't think any deal has been done so there won't be a leak.. I think we've made Stevens an offer and he is contemplating. Maybe he will take it? Maybe he won't.

He might be.  If he hadn't posted anything before this coaching search I would agree.  But there are multiple hearing similar things (not everything he has posted today).
