HoosierInParadise Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 In fairness... He received a show cause penalty from the NCAA. We couldn't have kept him if we wanted to. I think the point is that the compliance department turned it in in the first place as opposed to not handling it internally and/or not cooperating with the NCAA like all other high profile institutions have done that they end up investigating. thebigweave and MikeRoberts 2

At least those paying close enough attention to know who the program beat writers/reporters are. I'll never understand what he was thinking with his behavior and ties to HH. His community has become so insular. It's a shrinking ecosystem dependent on everyone there viewing Rabjohns as some kind of all-knowing source who deigns to provide them with "tidbits" and "chatter" as he sees fit. So, so bizarre. Almost cultish. Even the "Followers" are getting restless though. This coaching search has proved his lack of insight. He was able to hold them at bay for about 2-3 weeks as the job came open with agents floating guys names to angle for raises and NIL. But now that coaches are focused on the end of the year and his connections outside of the ADs office. It was insane that he actually posted that he didn't update the hot board because he "wanted to give the Washington game the coverage it deserved" I had not seen him comment or talk about the team and its play since prior to Woodson announcement even before then it was mostly criticism after the Bahamas. TO the point of his ties to HH it is interesting Eric got blasted for some comments on the 25th about MM and how he hopes the new coach kicks him to the curb, he caught some heat for it (keep in mind he is a 19 year old kid paid NIL or not ). Since then only post was his latest podcast episode. Wonder if Rabjohns and him had a convo about some things. Be interesting to see of his presence on the bard continues to dwindle Rusty Shackleford 1

That's outstanding. I also love that UK wanted him and he said no. If we don't get Stevens and Drew says yes to us, it will make it that much sweeter of a hire that he spurned UK... living in the bluegrass state, I can tell you that they will deny that they "really wanted him" until the sun don't shine...even though its true. He built a Mecca there and why on earth would he want to come here and start all over, that just sounds crazy.. I could see where Drew may have thought he could keep getting players in the new realm but things are changing quickly. In just one year IU increased their NIL in huge ways and announced they would invest more revenue sharing in BBall than contemporaries. Remember how frustrated many were that Woody only stayed because he got $6million to spend on players. That was a huge jump from prior years and that will continue it seems. The arms race used to be facilities but it is now cash and IU has moved to the front pack here. Secondly, at UK he may have had higher expectations than at IU. For all those who wanted Cal out he had strong results during his time there. Sure he had the best players but the results were pretty good and comparable to what Drew had done at Baylor. So if Drew replicated his Baylor results he would probably be on the hotseat at UK whereas if he replicated those at IU, who had not had consistent success, he would not necessarily get a stature but should be much further from the hotseat. str8baller 1

His candidacy as it relates to the IU job got brought up a few weeks ago on a Big 12 podcast that had a Baylor insider on it. He did say if Drew went to IU and knocked it out of the park, won big at IU and restored the program . How funny it would be when you look at the fact that Drew is basically the polar opposite of Bob Knight go iu bb, Chris007, HoosierSadaseci and 2 others 5

Stu posted a video a couple of weeks back from some Baylor folks that stated that Drew had to raise money to finish his roster and was pretty unhappy about it. That was the 1st time I thought Drew might be possible. Yes, and add to the fact that one of these days soon, there will be two super conferences. Anyone outside of those two conferences will be at a huge disadvantage. Just my opinion, but I could see it heading this way. Jam, Hoosier Roots and Pagoda 3
