Absolutely.  Until we start bringing in top talent across the board like the elite teams, we'll struggle against real title contenders.  Even if we never do (how many elite cfb teams are there?) - being a very good, top 1/3 of the conference team, year in and year out, would still be a fantastic improvement.

love that you have no clue how Scott Dolson operates, but assume the worst. 

Then you're given a GREAT example of a SD hire, a more important hire, actually (Cignetti) and you just brush it off.

First, as I have said many times I have not heard of any deal being in place. I'm leaning more that Brad won't be the coach most likely but still don't know.

Also want to state I like Sam a lot, he is a good dude and has always been super nice to me. 

But I know for sure we have been working on Brad, and communicating with him for a long time. Where it doesn't add up for me and all of this took place before the 14th. From my source's booster side of things, we offered him a contract, and he thought about it and countered it. With the counteroffer, Scott had to go back and ask certain people for more money. That all happened before or on the day of the 14th. Then the Goodman info comes out and things have been super quiet since. 

I find it very hard to believe that all of that info I have heard from many others on here is all bull and we only got a 5-minute Zoom call. 

But as I always say I've been wrong before

Didn’t say it did. It changes Dusty’s interest in IU. He didn’t need to sign an extension mid season, he chose to. If he was in bed with IU he wouldn’t have signed it

Fine enough candidates in a vacuum, to me; Murray and Kimani Young are both interesting at UConn.

None of those guys meet the Thamel criteria of HM HC experience

It was a reward for a nice season and Dusty was never going anywhere.  He doesn’t want a fishbowl job.  It’s better for all that he stays at UM.  Not a good fit here imo.

The most likely scenario is Brad Stevens isn’t coming here, evidenced by Goodman’s tweet saying as much, and neither is Dusty May, evidenced by him signing an extension literally last week, but some are spinning those two events into evidence they’re coming to IU…

I hope Dolson doesn’t share their beliefs and is working on finding who actually might want to be our next coach.
