Someone will for sure eventually. I think the thing that sticks the most if you’re willing to hand wave the charges, is we’d be benefiting by getting an elite coach who is only “available” because of the incident. Those facts are inexorably linked. He wouldn’t even be a down ballot hot board candidate if he hadn’t been arrested, he’d be at his alma mater.

I also checked all these coaches were hired during the NCAA tournament how be it toward the end but I found it interesting ,so we have to wait 4 more weeks then ?

The transfer portal may have an effect on this hiring date.

I was thinking about all the baggage with coaches and Tom Izzo was able to shake off  the scandal of his assistant coach Travis Walton assaulting  a woman and later another sexual assault.  Also his players too, can't remember which guys were  involved in another similar thing.  Tom just said he didn't know, but I don't know.  I've always thought he was a good guy, but clearly he had some bad dudes around him.

I sure hope Brad has a soft spot in his heart for all the people like us who wake up each morning hitting refresh, go to bed hitting refresh, wake up at 2am to pee and hit refresh, sit in on in person work meetings hitting refresh. All in all, just hope he takes the job I guess.

Pretty interesting how some folks here will dismiss a police report, the due diligence of multiple large athletic departments, a firing for cause that cost someone millions and his dream job, etc. for a coach who’s on-court results are obviously good but also not miles clear of the B-tier of the list

Just as interesting as those who think they are above everyone else morally on message boards. I find it interesting to watch some of you just trash beard day in and out. You will have no control over whether he is hired or not.

Are you being comical today on purpose or is this hypocrisy due to lack of self awareness? 

Your trashing of our head coach was much more sustained and of a personal nature than people "trashing" poor Beard by pointing out what he is on the record as having done.

But you're right, people on this board have no control over who gets hired any more than we had control over Woodson getting fired, err, "retired." People in the know say that Beard has little to no chance of being hired.
