IMO, based on Trilly's comment yesterday where allegedly he said Dolson gave Stevens 2 weeks to decide, that's probably accurate.

Smoke today could be good vibes, could be opportunistic trolling without sources. The planes are interesting IMO.

Glad to have the 2 week timeline on it so Dolson doesn't get caught with his richard in his hand like last time and can find another strong candidate if things go wrong.

I don't think you have to announce anything before the season ends. Don't think a deal "leaking" forces their hand in the slightest.

Need to hear something from Trilly IMO to believe something is eminent

Okay so here is where we are at,:

So yes some high dollar donors are where I am hearing that a verbal has been reached. Sounds like last bit of piece we need to do is get approval for new salary/bonus totals. Brads agents essentially got dolson to verbally up the offer which needs board approval. Takes time for board to approve, send revised contract, get him to sign it, work out other details.

Because of this news being massive I think they will work to expedite. Part of reason high dollar donors are first to hear is because there is some additional NIL ask that is part of the verbal with brad.

So while this is now at the one inch line we just need to formalize. I doubt top media will hear about this until later tomorrow as they are keeping it pretty quiet right now.

I do not know what the verbal is in terms of how much we will pay him but do know that NIL increase will likely be much higher than what woodson worked with and woodson worked with a top 10 NIL budget

Now isn't this where Fergeson steps in and fks everything up.  :)

Can one enter the transfer portal before you actually enroll in the school you’re transferring from?

He'd ask for a release from his letter of intent (or whatever the NCAA is calling the paperwork these days).

I wonder who benefits most from the rumors about Indiana-BS?

I think last time we had a "verbal commit" he moved from coach of the Celtrics to president while we got the best coach we didn't know we needed.

What happened the previous time? Did BS get a raise or an extension in Boston?

It'll be interesting to find out what happened in the last few hours before the announcement this time

I'm pretty sure he got the standard btownbanners background check that all of us went through.

  1. Credit Check
  2. Drug Test
  3. Email your social security number to Stuhoo
  4. Send a stool sample to Hovadipo

Safe to say that he's been vetted.

You guys don't have to donate 50% of your salary to BTB???

What type of cult is this...

I want to believe Issac, I really do.  And did.  However, the pace of information today is throwing up red flags and I can't explain why, but in the last hour or so, something in me feels like I have been duped.  Again, hoping it's just paranoia but there is just something that I can't put my finger on right now.........

Donors don’t talk with journalists and a donor or two is the source here.  Makes this once extra tricky to figure out, tough for the usual media to get the early story.  Several sourced posters are saying similar things, not just Isaac.  Just have to hope the source is good and it pans out.

Or are they just feeding off of each other?  Hmmm?!?!

for those questioning Isaac -- he and ap came in this morning nearly simultaneously with the "Scott is a mad man" type of post .... as if they were both fed info about something going on.....I'd say he is legit ..... I'm ready to be hurt again

Who's came first, tho?

It seems like Isaac is just repeating what others are saying. A couple of his posts were long and had some somewhat specific information, however.

The fact that his username is a BOT member, screams troll to me. Probably Matt Painter having some fun.

Think there was some speculation in this thread yesterday that the whole AAU call with Indiana Elite may have been signaling for those coaches to get a sense for what Braylon would think if Stevens came... Maybe getting the ball rolling on back channeling for roster building... Whether it nets us Mullins or not, it's exciting to think about, if it comes to fruition...

Pretty sure Mullins is too young to remember Stevens at Butler personally

You’re probably right as he would have been maybe 5 years old at the time.

That being said…..Mullins wants to go to the NBA and I guarendamntee you that he is aware that Brad successfully coached and ran the Celtics (and will be made aware of what Brad did at Butler).

Would love to land him but Hurley/UCONN isn’t a shabby choice. We will see.

IsaacTor is pretty obviously a troll in my opinion.

Good point.  We’ll see if @IsaacTor actually does have the goods.

This could all be coming from one source and that source may be wrong I have no idea,  but I am optimistic.

I’ve got one person that confirmed the donor angle and the usual IU media haven’t heard anything yet, but donors don’t talk to them.

After 25 years of crap I fear it’s too good to be true, but a lot has changed since our previous failed hiring processes.
