my two cents that are worth less. IF brad stevens does accept an offer to come to IU, do the celtics want him there still with one foot out of the door?

On the other side does IU wait 4 months for stevens? I think the fan base would be restless after a couple of weeks without word of anything.

I think you do whatever your dream coach of the next 25 years wants to do. At least that is how I would handle it.

I realize I’m new over here as well but I can vouch for @Billingsley sharing good information on HSN and being a good dude as well!

If he doesn't work out, we're putting it all on you. :-) Just kidding glad you both are here

My list from what I know

1 Brad Stevens

2 Brad Stevens

3 Brad Stevens There have been talks from our people to his and this has gone farther than ever before. I can say that because it's never gone anywhere before. I'm not saying he is going to be the next coach. I'm just saying that we're going to make an offer that he has to think about.

4A Chris Beard

4B Scott Drew

5 Eric Musselman

I don't think we need to go any farther than this

IU is clearly a sleeping giant. Just as others have said, I too view this like Alabama after hiring Saban. Be back at the top with the elite as it should be

But that still doesn't mean we can just make him say yes.

Exciting.  I'm content that a serious effort is being made.

Now, the next question, who becomes option b,c,d?

I like the confidence exuded by Scott that he will get someone worth all the effort.  I rest easy in that thought.

If we can land our white whale I'd agree; Stevens's name and history with IU resources would be amazing to see.  Can we make that play and land him though?

IMO he came out with a better job. Much easier to win at New Mexico than at Minnesota, especially with the BIG the way it is right now. Plus you get to live in New Mexico.

I do think UNM should have waited and hired Archie tbh

Completely agree! my point was:

A)  IU does whatever to get him here yes, more so on the side of what Boston wants. Do they want a coach that is halfway out the door

B) fans, recruits, players hanging on for 4 months without a coach is a tough ask more so players and recruits.
