Remember last time Goodman said Holtman was almost a done deal. Speaking of Holtman, he is doing a nice job in his first year at Depaul. Wouldn't be surprised if he has them competitive in the Big East in a couple years. Seems like a good fit for him. Chris007 and lillurk 2

Slow paced boring offense and zero clue the athleticism that will be needed to win at this level. He’s in for the rudest of awakenings. Most coaches don’t need rebuilding phases in the portal era but McCollum is gonna need a few learn the ropes seasons. Indiana isn’t the place to do that. F Me again. You might want to read the article posted by Jersey. I mean maybe you are a d1 coach and know your **** but he sure as hell gets a lot of praise from guys that are making everyone coaching search list. You can’t ask for much more as a coach than being know. By your peers as a brilliant ******* coach who is searched out by these same coaches to learn from him. WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I hate it so much. I guess I like the youth and passion and winning. The transition will be brutal for him. Indiana brand and money doesn’t even have pull anymore. Damn. Sad day for me. That loss then this news. Even Dolson treats it as a low P5 job. Hoosierfan2017 and smpenny2009 2

What a small time, non serious, joke of a hire (if Goodman actually has any clue). He’s one of the premier midmajor candidates lmao. It’s proof that we are still relevant. If we weren’t, the biggest / hottest names at that level would not want to come here. It’s far less likely, and happens far less frequently, that big names jump to other programs when they are successful. Stop wallowing. Start enjoying. Ctf9, VFury, SlammySammy and 1 other 4

I will trust Dolson but this is an incredible risk. Arguably the riskiest hire of all. Going from D2 to Indiana in 1 year is no small feat. I admit, I hope this is a smokescreen…and if we do indeed hire McCollum…it’s a gut punch in terms of how coaches look at Indiana. We aren’t as wanted as we seem to think. Sampson, Crean and even Archie were regarded as top of the line coaches…Woodson was just a brain fart hire. This is odd. VFury, WayneFleekHoosier, taco corp and 2 others 4 1

monskisprodigy Posted March 13 Posted March 13 If it is Mccollum, I will still root like hell and support the program. But I will go on record that I am not sold. Humbling hire IMO. Popular Post Home Jersey Posted March 13 Popular Post Posted March 13 A guy who wins like THAT … WANTS to be HERE? That’s where we are as a program. We should all be thrilled he does. Guess he’s not so scared of the fish bowl. He wins big time and is from the Midwest, yall really don’t think he understands this will be a challenge? I’m excited a guy like him wants to take it on. I get how that’s sad, but it’s reality for IU. Commence the golden age for IU athletics between him and Cig. cybergates, Leo, Asha’man and 14 others 15 1 1

I know it’s a lower level than IU and it may not translate, but the McCollum definitely wins wherever he has been. Dolson will need to surround him with a great bench and GM to help with the learning curve. Maybe everyone at IU needs to stay out of the way and let Ben show IU how to win again? cybergates, BtownBallers, Asha’man and 8 others 10 1
