Unless he hires someone people don’t like

You going to trust him if he hires Collins? I personally would.  I think Collins is really good coach who could of left for a bigger job by now and I fully expect teams like Nova who have actually been way more successful as a program for a very long time now to have them high on their board when that job comes open

Nothing about this resume excites me

Except for where he is coaching. He is by far the best coach ever there. Done things no other coach has done at NW. NW isn’t lowering academic standards and isn’t playing in the grey either. He has been a huge success and elevated NW well above their previous best.

I think you would also agree that there are multiple answers to who the next coach is that can work out.  You watch more college ball than anyone and know there are numerous guys that can succeed at IU.

Plenty of good coaches out there that could turn this thing around.  Might not all be big names but there will grind their butts off.  Problem is this fanbase has been through the wringer and most don’t care or want to grind to get back on top.   They want it tomorrow and with NIL and other advantages IU gives you that a possibility however this thing has been going south forever and the last 9 years have been about as bad of stretch as this program has been.   Nobody wanted or probably heard of McCasland at North Texas when I was talking about him years ago however now he is one of the top young coaches in the game that is probably going to be the next Texas coach.  Nobody wanted Underwood and SF Austin way back in the day before he went to Oklahoma st and definitely nobody thought he would turn out being the home run hire he turned out to be for Illinois.   Coaches are out there waiting for their opportunity at the next highest level it’s up to Dolson to block out all the outside noise and find him

Assistant under a legendary coach.

Success at lower levels.

Great recruiter.

High powered offensive coach.

Understands Indiana basketball.

Capable of winning multiple conference titles.

Ladies and gentlemen, our next head coach.

Who cares about Indiana kids? Just win. They will come if we win. And we haven’t. If it’s Collins, that will be the most underwhelming hire of this whole debacle. Why do we as fans want to settle?

sorry if I come off shitty, I just think we are trying to find ways guys could win when we need to find one that will.
Trust in Dolson. We will have our whale here soon enough.

I think we just need to stop listening to people that have randomly shown up to this site. I have run out of most of my Hopium.

Does anyone else find it weird that we are hearing positive vibes from all the newcomers but not from the posters we trust?

The only Hopium I have left is that the equation remains the same. Somebody that can coach + Metric****ton of money = Happy IU fans.

To whom is he referring?

Kelsey grew up a stone cold IU fan. From Cincinnati and wanted to be Steve Alford.

But it looks like he has a substantial buyout, about $9 million it looks like.

Pat Kelsey would be a home run of epic proportions. UL ain’t paying him all that much either; $2.3 m annually.
