I know that I would take the Washington State version of Myles Rice and not the one last year in Mike Woodson's system. lillurk, coonhounds, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote

Watched some of his EYBL games when IU was in on him and didn’t love him because he was pretty clearly a tweener in a sort of Mgbako way. But would never have guessed that he would just be a straight washout. lillurk 1 Quote

What he did ar Washington wasn’t some fluke, but he had actial offensive sets and actions for guard play, with wing and perimeter play. Under Woodson he had nothing. He’s a good player. Whether DeVries wants to keep him and what NIL level is up to him, but he can play, under a coach with a clue. BGleas and Home Jersey 2 Quote

AH1971 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Will probably be one of the most coveted player in the portal but this guys story is awesome. Elite shot blocker with range out to the 3 point line. Could potentially be a lottery pick. Zero star recruit https://x.com/cbbcontent/status/1904288197171151335?s=46&t=w6QCfPv_ohX9q670DTqgcA Forgot tweets don’t link. Magoon Gwath San Diego St Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Ohio State junior Evan Mahaffey has entered the transfer portal. The 6’6” guard appeared in 32 games, averaging 3.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game. Quote
Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Mikey Williams hits the portal. What a ruined career. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Bloomington kid had an IU offer. Purely FWIW as I wouldn't expect any IU interest now. Vanderbilt sophomore forward JaQualon “JQ” Roberts has entered the transfer portal, but will keep all options open, Quote
TadQueasy Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Is there a certain time frame players have to get in the portal? Quote

MemphisHoosier Posted March 25 Posted March 25 So realistically we are only waiting for potential portal announcements on Carlyle, Rice, and Tucker, correct? Quote

Speaking of his time at Washington State, maybe if Rice stays he and Joseph Yesufu can reach out to Oscar Cluff and put in a good word for IU and Coach DeVries respectively. If Myles could get Oscar to Bloomington he might justify whatever he got paid last year. Quote

HoosierHoopster Posted March 25 Posted March 25 One thing to keep in mind, announcing for the portal after a coaching change doesn’t necessarily mean a guy’s leaving. It’s the right thing to do to gauge interest and to negotiate a possible return if that’s in the cards. Not saying this applies now, but it’s early to think a player is necessarily gone just because he announces (and just look back at our own team’s history). Quote
