Took him to the locker room, wasn’t walking well at all. Came back out to the bench walking a little better and proceeded to flat wear his coach out trying to get back in the game. I like Rice.  He seems like a pretty good kid and he has overcome a lot.  Unfortunately, he got caught up in Woody's system -- I guess his NIL takes some of the sting off of that. 

He may not be a fit for CDD, but hopefully he can find a place where he can start improving again.

I can’t like this enough. I’m sure he’s a good kid but usually only played hard on offense in the form of out of control passes and shots. ATO horrible and opposite of CDD philosophy  of taking care of the ball.

Just saying; when he was at Washington State and wasn't being coached by Woody, his assist/turnover rate was excellent.

That’s unlikely imo.  He was never a big time scorer in hs.

Would have never thought that Cupps could score 30 against anyone, but @Hovadipo with an avatar bet adds some funky "Bug-eyed Josh pic" pro-Gabe juju for sure.

Good luck Gabe and kid was always rooting and excited for us even on the bench. Hope it works out at Ohio St except for a couple games.

The guys Woodson brought in last year (except maybe Goode) came for the money. It doesn’t mean they’re bad kids, or that money is all they care about, but it’s why they came to play for Mike Woodson. I’m ready for a completely fresh start, so I’m glad to see everyone hitting the portal, as harsh as that may sound. After listening to DD’s interview yesterday, he sounds like a normal, down to earth, hardworking guy, and I’m excited to see who he brings in.

I second this. But I'd keep Goode and roll the dice on Tucker who Woodson seemed to have beef with. I had a buddy tell me Tucker asked to be shut down as well. I don't know that I care one way or another, but I don't want to see any resemblance of the type of basketball we saw this year.

Only two scholarship players from this past season are left (not counting Goode):

Kanaan Carlyle 

Bryson Tucker 

Wonder when the shoe's gonna drop on those two? 

You have to think Carlyle is gone. I might be in the minority, but I'd kinda like to see Tucker give it another go. I wanna see what he can do with a coach who values perimeter players.

I’d he fine with it but I’ve been skeptical of his game since he was in HS, would not be shocked whatsoever if he’s simply never a P5 starter let alone an NBA prospect. I’d love to be wrong, whether he’s a Hoosier or not

I would love to see Bryson stay.  I wonder if his family would have him stay after what happened during the year with a coaching change.
