Bailey7878 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Sorry this is in the Trayce thread. This deserves to be jubilation only. My bad. I love Romeo too, just think It’ll be 2-3 years of development before he is a regular rotation guy in the NBA. And Blackmon probably never will be. But I love Blackmon too.#LEO. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appIm pumped we got tjd. Needed some good news. However imo there is a 0.00% chance romeo comes back for a 2nd year.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk HoosierDYT and yogisballin 2 Quote

Southside Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Welcome to IU. Big get. 2nd 5 star from IN in two years. Might be the 2nd Mr. Indiana too. Hope to see a lot of player development this year. ALASKA HOOSIER, Btownclouds and IUsafety 3 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I don’t think it’s that crazy if Romeo stayed a second year considering the Duke trio have the top 3 picks essentially locked up. Romeo could potentially go top three next year if he stayed IMO. Glad Indiana had some incredible talent last year and this year to recruit. Amazing that Archie has suddenly and drastically locked down the border. Will be interesting to see how he plays next years class. Hoosierfan2017 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 If we land Brooks it would be pretty enticing for Romeo to come back for a second year. A big 3 of Romeo, Keion and Trayce with a sophomore Phinisee at point guard is a title contender, imo. Keion and Romeo roaming the wings and Trayce controlling the paint. I won't blame Romeo at all if he leaves after this year but I could see a situation where he decides to return. Alford Bailey, Kepner and bsvolpert 3 Quote
ap2345 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I think the key for Romeo will be what part of the first round he’s projected to go in. He has started to slide down mock drafts so if he falls out of the top 10 I could see a scenario where he decides to come back. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Kepner 1 Quote

Show me a good story and I'll almost guarantee you there's something (one) hiding in the shadows. I could see a possibility of Romeo returning for a second year but highly doubt it happens. A healthy Hunter, Romeo, Phinisee, Jackson-Davis, and Brooks would be a stupid (good) young core. Hoosier Guy Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 And here I got laughted at for saying it’s not far fetched to think Romeo could stay two years. Glad you guys are coming around. There’s a reason Romeo hosted Keion on his OV. There’s a reason Romeo went to TJD’s first basketball game as an IU commit. He’s very intrigued by the prospect of playing with all of these talented in-state recruits. It would be a heck of a team Dhop and Bowhunter 2 Quote
Popular Post Stromboli Posted December 1, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 1, 2018 Maaaan I love Indiana Basketball. I had a really good time at Center Grove last night. Really nice campus, school, and gymnasium. Well run game. The band was playing good songs. Raucous student section. Cathedral fans showed out, too. When I got there Coach Ostrom was there with his little boy getting tickets for the Forum Tipoff Classic. I shook his hand and congratulated him on the commitment, he was really nice. The press really showed up for this game, just a line of them on the baseline. Including the youtubers. I'm sure there will be highlight vids from this game from InTheGymHoops and Frankie Vision, Ball Is Life, etc, soon. Once the game got started, it was just a high school game. Trayce dominated the first quarter, but kinda shut it down thereafter. I want to say he had over 10 points in the first 8 minutes. From there it was basically a guards' game. The Comer kid from Cathedral looked to be the most impactful on the floor. Armaan hit an early long 3, but had to fight for anything after that. Cathedral fans were pretty upset about some officiating no-calls. Armaan is very athletic, and built like Durham. Probably a little more athletic than Al, though not as crafty at this point. Armaan is a really likeable kid, though, in mannerisms and attitude. CG had a Nicoson kid guarding him and really stuck on him like glue. All in all Cathedral to me had a better squad and probably better coaching, so props to CG for the comeback. Cathedral is missing a good big, but has waves of well conditioned, smart players. TJD has a turbo mode where he can use smooth, explosive moves and get a good shot, very good touch, fast elevation for a dunk. One story. The CG student section was behind the CG basket in the first half. Armaan got fouled and steps to the line. From the CG student section emerges the pinkest, gingeryist, huskiest young man in Rex Kwon Do pants, rips off his shirt just as Armaan shoots the first. Miss. Second shot. The kid waits, right behind the basket, until just before the shot and drops to the splits. Miss. It was hilarious. Crowd got a kick out of it. Armaan evidently blamed his shooting sleeve and tossed it to the bench. Anyway. That was a fun game. Romeo and Rob were kinda tucked in a corner, not with Ostrom. Romeo had on a pretty substantial wrist brace, was signing autographs. Poor Rob was right next to him not getting the same love. moyemayhem, MemphisHoosier, Hoosiers96 and 5 others 7 1 Quote
