Wisky was 11-1 at home before last night. They're 11-2 now. :) You guys may not agree, but I would be happy to see the IU women work their way into an NIT bid. Good enough for Coach Knight, good enough for me.8 points

Minny moved to 72 in the NET meaning all of IUs losses as of today are Q1 games. ( 5 Q1A and 3 Q1b), 5 of those on road, 1 neutral and 2 home games. IU does have 2Q1A wins as well.7 points -

Good guess. Another data point is the Wisky DB (Xavier Lucas) Miami tampered with and got, of course sparking that still unresolved legal action. I’d bet the farm they tried to get Ponds. They’re a scummy bunch and it’s so satisfying to have beat them.5 points -

Most of us agree the jury is still out. The point of contention is the absurdity of this thread existing, it's practically parody. He hasn't even finished his first season yet. People rag on how insane and toxic our fanbase is. I don't agree with that assessment but this thread 100 percent plays into that stereotype.5 points -

5 home games left and they are a projected tourney team as of today and not one that is projected as a last 4 in even with the USC loss. For me yeah that means they are currently in solid position If they can’t win home games then they don’t deserve to be in field. :(5 points -

The old heads will never grasp this stuff and I'm here for it. Actually heard one complaining the other day that the Minnesota loss was unacceptable and will keep us out of the tournament if we don't get to 20 wins. I am a little curious how Minnesota moves up 12 spots after beating MSU but we only moved up 2 spots after beating Purdue.4 points -

You say no room for error which I’m guessing you are saying they can’t lose a home game. As long as that home game is Wisky or Sparty if they lose they still would have a shot whereas you are saying they wouldn’t have a shot. Ius results don’t happen in a bubble. Other teams are going to lose games they shouldn’t.4 points -

To answer your question, one, there are a lot more teams packed closer together in rating values where Minnesota is at compared to where IU is ranked. And two, Minnesota was supposed to lose to MSU by more points than we were supposed to lose to Purdue, so there is a bigger rating adjustment in Minnesota’s case.3 points -

@LamarCheeks you've been doing a great job as a mostly solo artist. There's a rumor on Facebook Lady Gaga would like to do a duet with you. Your efforts in keeping the women's game threads updated during the games is most appreciated. Thank you. Now with 2 in a row under their belts including a road win hopefully their confidence has taken a jump and they'll really lay it on the Toiletmakers Sunday afternoon.3 points -

Surely some of you guys played and were shooters. I have zero problems with good shooters taking a deep catch and shoot three a few feet behind the line, if they are balanced and in rhythm. It's not that hard of a shot. In fact, it's a lot easier than some of the fadeaways Devries takes coming off screens and not being set. I am not in love with the 26 footers off the dribble when moving laterally. That's a hard shot. Lamar is really the main offender here. Then again, Lamar is also around 40% from three so coach may not think it's worth it to tone down his aggressiveness.3 points

He’s played 37, 35, 46 and 37 mins the last four games. He usually only comes off in pure bench unit mins and our bench is hot garbage, which is what I think drives most of this. if you want another good example of that phenomenon you can find fletcher loyers name on this. Not all stats are perfect. With that said, I have defended him the last few games and in this thread because he’s been willing to do a lot of the small things that contribute to winning.3 points -

Paybacks are hell. Let's make that winning streak 3 in a row. Toiletmakers (11-12) (3-9) are on a 3-game losing streak and just 1-8 in road games. Their most recent loss was last night in Mackey to previously winless in conference Penn State. They average 70 ppg shooting 43% FG and 34% on 3s. They average 36 rpg just 3 better than their opponents. They turn the ball over 16/game. Tara Daye at 12.4 and Kiki Smith at 10.6 are their leading scorers. On any volume, Smith at 36% and Madison Layden-Zay at 35% are their best 3-point shooters. Daye at 6.8 is their leading rebounder. Next best at 4.5 is Lana McCarthy. As a team, they have an assist/turnover ratio of under 1.0. In the game at Mackey, we controlled the boards but they made 50% (11-22) of their 3-point shots. Our laxness in perimeter defense also let them have 21 assists against just 15 turnovers; a team who on the season's ratio is less than 1.0. If we can avoid foul trouble and the careless ball handling, there's no reason we can't send them back to West Laffy with their 4th loss in a row. Radio Live Stats2 points -

IU exorcised a lot of demons this season. Beat O$U first time in last 30 tries, won B1G championship, won the Rose bowl (won A bowl) won at Penn State for 1st time, National Championship(!!) so...are there any remaining shameful streaks or records that need to be broken?2 points -

Agreed, I am already sick of the " who is the next Indiana" clickbait headlines. I understand it's refreshing to have new schools in the NC converstion. Still, it's dumb to pretend that IU winning somehow opened the door for every down-trodden program to emerge. It was a pretty specific set of circumstances and people that brought results. Getting a new coach at a crap school ain't it.2 points -

They’re not on the edge right now, realistically they’re solidly in. In all fairness we never really know the committee is sometimes completely idiotic or, uh, internally motivated to pick and not pick certain teams (ahem, UNC last season), but while it will be big for IU to beat Wisconsin (God I still hate them) and Sparty (can’t the little whiner just retire already), neither is a must win. That said I’ll feel much more comfortable with a W over Wisc.2 points -
Yeah, you win some, you lose some. :) It's not a "solid" in. They are on the edge. They can't afford any more mess-ups. Sad position to be in.2 points

Massive game for IU on Saturday. IU got the split on the LA trip. Now they have set themselves up to where if IU wins their remaining home games they will be in great shape and not need phase 3(conference tourney) to build the resume. Tourney quality team (lower seeded as of today)at home for a nice Q2 win. Lose and the path becomes more difficult2 points -

By all accounts Whitmer is close with Zac Robinson (semi-likely to be the Bucs next head coach after 2026, which could easily lead to Whitmer as OC) who is a McVay disciple. How we even ended up with a guy like that as our QB coach is beyond me. We were extremely blessed to get a year of him. I have a feeling in 5 years we're going to be asking ourselves "remember when that dude was our QB coach? How did we manage that?" And again, that's no slight toward Tino.2 points -
