It's more than 7 this year from someone that would know. I believe Mr. Yonkman wants IU to be a consistently elite program and he's in it for the long haul. By giving Woody top 5 resources this year it was making the statement that we're a serious player in the modern game of college basketball. So I 100% believe that we will have a serious coaching staff next year and that coach will have the necessary funds to hit the ground running. It's too much culturally and performance like a bad nba franchise right now.

Just got my IU ticket and flight from DC to Columbus for the OSU game last night. Never in the world would I think I would be flying to go watch IU football.

I can only imagine that Ohio State's main objective is to try to pressure Rourke from the get go for as long as they possibly can. Not only that, I also think they will want to try to prove to everyone that we are NOT as good a team that people are labeling us. Can’t believe I’m typing this, but season ticket holders can get on their account and claim their seats for a CFP round 1 game until November 27th.

Calling for a change in coaches at this point is ridiculous. More worrisome, though, are the recruiting failures. Places like Maryland, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Southern Cal (i.e. our rivals) and now Kentucky, are bringing in all kinds of of talent. UConn poaches Indiana talent at will. We even missed on Reagan Beers (why wouldn't she look at IU?). If it were not for Parrish and Scalia transferring to IU, and CMM taking a 5th year, we would really be in the wilderness now (if we aren't already). Punching above your weight is one thing. Seriously competing to get in the Final Four or win a National Championship, sadly, takes high powered recruiting. It depends on the program's aspirations.

Receivers that block extremely well +Justice Ellison's playmaking ability + a cover 1 defense can equal some big running plays. It can also lead to some 2nd and 12 stacked up running plays.

Hopefully the antidote is some effective RPOs by Rourke that loosen the man coverage at the line by flinching defenders towards the run. These are the type of dynamics that make it super-helpful for the staff to have an extra week to prepare us.

That's also OSU's base defense, Cov 1, so absolutely.

If you have bought any tickets this season you should have received an email about how to apply. If not I would contact the IU ticket office you can put in for tickets, but they are going by the priority points system. Tickets are $100-$500 depending on where you want to sit. They are taking orders right now, but won't let you know who has gotten tickets till later on, once we know who gets a home game.

He's always been an @$$. BTW, 9-0 BYU hosts 3-6 Kansas this week. BYU is a 2.5 point favorite. Looks like Vegas has zero confidence in BYU. It's worth mentioning that while some say 'IU hasn't played anyone', at this point BYU's six wins in the Big 12 have come against teams that are 13-31 in the Big 12.

If you break the coverage a few times, the DL will loosen up and we'll be able to run. Against Michigan we were on our heels for so much of the game due to some dropped passes and 2 deep red zone penalties. It turned uphill after that instead of running and throwing downhill. Early success and keeping their defense on their heels would be our key to competitiveness IMO.

The South Carolina men's hoops team (at IU at 3 p.m.) and football team (vs. Mizzou at 4:15 p.m.) are playing at the same time tomorrow. That just seems kinda weird. My nephew went to USC. We haven't started trash-talking yet -- LOL. In fact, he has season football tickets and tailgates and the whole 9 yards for every home game, so I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even realize we're playing in men's hoops.

Worth the read. It's absolutely absurd to be knee-jerk asserting the Women's program should be considering a change. A decade of rapid growth and turning IU into one of the contending programs from rock bottom, we lose Mak and the team struggles early in one season and people start calling for a coaching change? Ridiculous. Moren is an exceptional coach and program builder, patience is most definitely an important trait. The comparison to IU baseball and the couple of transition years after Schwarber is solid. Moren took over at IU in 2014 and went 15-16. From 2015 to date every season at least 20 W's, the last 4 a reg season championship, 4 NCAA tourneys including 2 SW16's and an EE, and people talk coaching change?? It's her first transition year in 10 years. Get a grip.

And again, to all the true Indiana basketball fans out there, Mike Woodson is going to do everything possible to get this ball club over the hump. If we can get X a 7th year, I really think we can become successful in terms of competing for Big Ten titles & National titles.
