Don't take care of business, and by business I mean drill the teams you're supposed to and play well against the others and you move up and solidify yourself ie exactly what Woody and Archie never did, so we were always scratching and crawling to get into the tournament. Some teams that didn't look so great dropped considerably after one game: UCLA 12 to 20 MSU 25 to 34 OSU 27 to 36 PSU 95 to 103 It's important to blow out these lower teams and hang with highly ranked teams. Kenpom is normally the best indicator of who's in, and who's got work to do. IU started 40th and moved up to 33rd after 1 game. Pagoda, mamasa, thebigweave and 1 other 2 2 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Yes, AAM isn't good, but the play and intensity looked infinitely better than what we watched the last 8 years. Will we struggle against some higher teams? Probably, especially against teams with great interior play. Popular Post TheWatShot Posted November 6, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 6, 2025 Archie Miller's first game here was a blowout loss to Indiana State. Mike Woodson's first game went down to the wire with Eastern Michigan. Darian DeVries got to watch his son score his 2,000th point in a game that was over after about 5 minutes. thebigweave, Stuhoo, realTomCrean and 17 others 16 4 Quote

There were a few times last night when they got the ball at the wing and kicked it out for a three, and I just laughed because we have not seen that in so long. Per this picture Andrej was in sweats last night: That means we only had eight scholarship players available last night and five; Dorn, Drake, Ristic, Harris, and Acimovic were out with injuries.
