It's important to blow out these lower teams and hang with highly ranked teams. Kenpom is normally the best indicator of who's in, and who's got work to do.

Yes, AAM isn't good, but the play and intensity looked infinitely better than what we watched the last 8 years. Will we struggle against some higher teams? Probably, especially against teams with great interior play.

Archie Miller's first game here was a blowout loss to Indiana State. 

 

Mike Woodson's first game went down to the wire with Eastern Michigan. 

 

Darian DeVries got to watch his son score his 2,000th point in a game that was over after about 5 minutes.

absolutely! There were a few times last night when they got the ball at the wing and kicked it out for a three, and I just laughed because we have not seen that in so long.

That means we only had eight scholarship players available last night and five; Dorn, Drake, Ristic, Harris, and Acimovic were out with injuries.
