Very under rated pickup. Plays way bigger than he is. Had an ankle tweak mid season and made it where he got played over. Good rebounder and plays hard, very much will fit the role CDD wants. People are going to ***** about his height but he plays way bigger than it.

Yep, he's clearly a big. Top 100 nationally in O-Reb Rate, D-Reb Rate, and Block rate at Chattanooga as a soph. Seems like a solid depth pickup.

Huh?
He was in the eight man rotation of the national champion team.  And check his numbers compared to Alex Condon if he played Condon's minutes:
Condon 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks
Alexis 9.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.3 blocks

Playing time dwindled as the season progressed. Including DNP in games that mattered the most. Phrasing it the way you did isn’t really accurate.

"Oof"

Lol. In 11 minutes per game. You realize that stat is time based. And his coach could have played him any amount of minutes he chose. And he chose not to play him in the most Important games of the year.

He’s got some size, versatility, and probably a willing bench piece. They can’t all be starters. And that’s ok. Calling it like it is.

He injured his ankle in February. Was a scratch for the national title game.

Alexis and Hansberry almost identical size wise. DeVries got a lot out of Hansberry last year after a non-existent freshman season at Illinois. I think Alexis checks a ton of boxes.

Text from my UF son, who is a bball player who grew up a rabid IU fan (and I suspect would still root for IU over his own school even after they just won the natty— I raised him right). My kid also sat in the first ten rows of the student section for every UF home game this year. This is what he’s got on Sam Alexis:
“He’s not bad, he’s strong/decently athletic and can rebound and has some post moves.
He’s a true center and not a very good defender and definitely not a rim protector. Hopefully he’s not a starter but he’s definitely decent.”
I then asked him for a player comp and he said: “Kind of a shorter DeRon Davis before Davis got hurt.”

Fair.
