Mutual interest between us and Malone, might visit some other schools though. CE is currently visiting Nebraska.

MR is going to work his butt off with Calbert and be a 40% 3pt shooter and give us that 4 out 1 in with two bigs

I don't know about 40% from three, definitely not on any high volume, but I'd take 33%+ on enough volume to keep defenses honest. I don't think we see a ton of typical 4 out 1 in next year but would be nice to be wrong I guess. He's great around the rim though, that's where I want most of his looks. Maybe if/when Malik slides over to play the 5 for a few segments we see more 4 out 1 in. Would love to be a fly on the wall during staff meetings these days

I’d like to see how we would perform with some minutes with MR at the 5, MM at the 4 with some combo of Tucker and guards.

Our best lineup would include Ballo at the C. I would take what you said above but with Oumar at the C. Reneau off bench.

I get that...would love Malik on this team as the #2-3 option on offense, not #1. He's a very good player but he's not dynamic or explosive enough like TJD to be the #1 option.

Agreed. Ballo will likely only play 25-28 minutes a game as well, which leaves 12-15 minutes open at the 5 and I’d REALLY prefer Reneau be the one taking those minutes versus any random backup big we could get from the portal.

Reneau spending 12-15 minutes at the 5, and another 10-15 minutes at the 4 to spell Mgbako, would be ideal IMO.
