We beat Purdue and won at MSU which is probably one of the better wins of the year. We were 2nd right behind WVU as the most egregious tourney snubs. 
 

WVU basically had a nearly identical year to us last year by the numbers, with the caveat they had worse injury luck. Nobody will be happy with that type of season, nor should they be.

You’re right. Let’s bring back Mike Davis and sign him to a life long contract. No more expectations. Let’s meet the team where they are. So we have 3 players and the expectations are 0-33. Woot woot. That will surely set us up for success, lowering expectations and meeting them where they are. Yup. That’s the ticket.

The constant is hiring bad coaches (Crean was the exception, he was okay/mediocre).

Our fanbase is our biggest asset as a program.  Almost all of the money for the program comes from the fans, and we need money to compete in CBB.

There was a 2,000 page thread on firing Woody because he was one of the worst coaches in college basketball.

It definitely hurts the program. Also I see some already questioning the new coach who has been here two weeks and hasn't coached a game yet. I see our fans ripping the national media with their pertrail of the fans at IU but maybe they see it better than we do

I have a different irrational theory. Maybe it isn’t the fans, but rather it is the toxic message board fans criticizing the fans that are the real problem.

I didn't say that but the expectations right now shouldn't be what it use to be. I don't buy that we as fans would be happy just making the tournament every year like one poster said.  If that was the case then Crean would still be here. Winning two big ten championships and making 3 sweet 16's in 6 years wasn't good enough.

Give UK our last 25 years, the only thing left of Lexington would be ashes. Fans aren't the problem; horrendous mismanagement is. Expectations aren't a bad thing.

Or we could start hanging banners saying we tried, just put the ones that actually matter in storage so no one makes the mistake of thinking this is a serious program.

Woody won one tourney game in two years and going into Year 3 his approval was very high.
