Have you watched the last 2 games, the style of play has already occurred.  We are pushing the ball a heck of a lot more and it is leading to more open shots in rhythm 

That’s what has annoyed me about this season. Let’s wait until we’re on the CTI bubble to make actual changes

Regardless of how this season ends, and if he's still the coach, Woody has to hit a home run in the portal with probably a minimum of 4 openings and maybe as many as 6 or more depending on what the current roster does and I'm not confident he can do that.

My thinking is there is no guarantee that Woodson is going to be fired if we keep losing so I am actually going to enjoy a win. If you told me if we lose out and it was guaranteed they would fire him then I would be upset with a win. I hate feeling this way because during the first half I wasn't upset that we were behind.

So the big ten is so bad that there is a flight chance we could get a double bye and finish 4th. NW is 4th right now at 10-8 so we are 2 back with 2 to go. There are probably to many teams between for this actually to happen.

Saw someone say it on discord and it’s a good point: The reason our record down the stretch really doesn’t matter is because Woodsons job can’t be in doubt going into next year. So that means he either has to win the BTT to make it justifiable, or IU has to give him an extension. The latter isn’t happening. Otherwise we are punting on HS recruiting.

I’ll always share with you. But I’m saying a month because the final four is a week later and our next coach might still be in the game. I feel good and you should too.

Saw someone say it on discord and it’s a good point: The reason our record down the stretch really doesn’t matter is because Woodsons job can’t be in doubt going into next year. Better chance he gets an extension than fired unless they can convince him to quit.

The year Crean was fired IU won 3 of their last 6 games (including BTT and NIT). Just to calm some people down.

No way. We were a protected seed last year and all they could get him was a raise. If they didn’t extend him last year, they definitely won’t this year.

I appreciate everything you say. I will never chastise anyone who sticks their neck out and says what they hear. If you’re right, you’re just right, but if you’re wrong, then good lord we know what happens. So man I really hope you’re right and no matter what happens, thank you for sharing. This damn administration (minus Dolson) always just worries me

 

Also, I like how you said “our next coach” not our potential next coach. Hmmm

I’ve said the same. I have mentioned this to so many Purdue fans. If they don’t make it this year it’s kind of now or never. I know that sounds bad but they literally have every single piece to make a deep run. A big man, shooters, a point guard, a fantastic coach, and they have a few decent guys off the bench. But it’s all about matchups, and I feel if they get a team that can run and gets out in transition they will lose. They turn the ball over way more than they should.

He was a stroke of bad luck away from making a final four a few years before Edey. As much as I want to agree with this, I’m not sure that’s the case. He’s going to be in position to continually knock on the door until he eventually breaks through. 
 

I think a lot of us have been in denial for awhile.
