The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

In the history of IU basketball the only coach that meets your criteria is RMK. Crean had the wins and S16, but finished 5th in conference.
Your standards aren’t realistic for the history of the program.
Recent history. Because of crap coaching hires. Why are those same standards acceptable at other school? Why because coach knight is gone are those standards out of the question? Why has every coach besides sampson not been successful elsewhere? Crean had decent recruiting at Georgia Why did he suck? What coach have we hired post knight can you point to and say that guy has it? Sampson and that's it. We need a winner and the results will follow. 2 of our hires were pathetic imo. Davis was simply not ready and Woodson simply had no experience. Crean and Archie were college coaches who had some success but were gambles. Hire a good coach and people may be surprised iu can actually get good results and have expectations

I used to but in the last couple of weeks it’s been him telling us everything and we’re not allowed to say what we think. It’s just sucking the joy out of the thread. JMO though

Umm…

Year in and year out Duke and UNC are as good as/better than anyone in the B1G. Miami whipped our butts last year. Bennett usually has UVA playing well. And have to believe that it won’t be long before Syracuse and Louisville are back to prominence.

Add to that the fact that Shrews is coaching at a football first school with extremely high academic standards… yeah, I could see him moving for the right opportunity

For what it’s worth, I love the info you give and just talking ball and bouncing thoughts and having reasonable back and forth and understanding conversations. If others aren’t willing to do that, then just let them be. I think I speak for everyone on the board, well maybe not one guy, but we’d all like you stay and just shoot the ****

Honestly his delivery reminds me a lot of a poster I haven't seen here in a few years. Old something??? Anyhow that poster was condescending and never wrong. Those types just rub me the wrong way. Thankfully, we don't have much of that here at all.

Is there anything I can do?  Maybe if I volunteer myself in a dunk tank we can raise the money to buy out Woodson.  I once had a roast of myself at the Carolina Inn amongst faculty and friends.......... no joking the line went out the door with volunteers. Lots of questions about myself that night.

I don't know what is going to happen, I pass along what I hear. I've been wrong many times and each time I am it gets pointed out by Hornsby, Josh or Hoosier2017 or someone like that LOL.
