Now and for along time now IU basketball it can’t get any more worse than it is but it continues to get worse.  Wisconsin, teams like Nebraska and Penn State would hardly ever beat IU especially at home going back 3 or 4 decades but it has become a regular occurrence with insignificance in any kind of post season.

That makes sense since the football hires showed the ADs IU has hired across the decades don't really know what they're looking for in a coach. They happened to get lucky with Knight but once he was gone the football hiring incompetence also became basketball hiring incompetence.

Won't happen. Didn't happen with Crean, didn't happen with Miller, won't happen this time.

I cannot imagine any coach who is seriously interested in the Indiana job would (1) not already know what a train wreck it's been this season, and (2) seek out answers to WHY this is a cluster****... do their due diligence to recognize what is really happening in Bloomington, and then so some serious soul searching to determine if (1) it's worth their effort, and (2) if they really think that they can make a difference/succeed at Indiana.

Only a fool would take the job oblivious to what's been going on, and without seriously evaluating their honest chance of survival here.

So are you saying this is an institutional issue and Woodson/previous coaches arent to blame. Whoever comes next wont succeed?

What's the obsession with this? I understand it was a bad move by Dolson, but like... who cares? Indiana has money that grows on trees and boosters to go with it.

If Woody was pressuring the athletic department, you just tell him he’s done a decent job in yr 1&2…but still needs to meet his personal goals (competing for big 10 and national championships) to be upped…let’s see how yr 3 goes buddy. If we just threw it on as gravy on top…well, that’s kind of complete mismanagement and unthinkable!!

Lack of success for thirty years is an administration issue.  We need better people who know how to run a program.
