I don't understand the anger at the administration right now because there was never going to fire him mid season. I think to many wanted to believe they had a plan to fire him but to many are to gullible and will believe anything. Let the season play out and if they don't fire him after the season then get pissed at the administration. Why I dislike some of the rumors spread on here is that people take it as gospel and it leads to the mob mentality.
Can't we be pissed they didn't fire him last year? Can we be pissed that he had failed miserably this season so far? I think there is plenty reason to be pissed! I am not waiting to see if they fire him at the end of season before getting pissed. I only have 3 more days to get mentally prepared for the beat down Friday night!

Yep, she is trolling.  I’ll admit she is very good at it.  The reaction here is amazing.

She may be trolling. But her position that IU is slow to make decisions is true. And the smoke that a decision may be made before the season’s end is just smoke so far. That doesn’t mean it can’t happen. But while she may be trolling, she’s been correct. We will see if that changes.

When did I t be one the norm to have the handshake line in college basketball. I have watched a lot of old games and they didn't use to do it. RMK would usually go over to a player he really respected and talked to him but no formal line.

They need to do away with it! Pitino has advocated for it and has had his team not participate this season. Every year there are incidents. Shake hands before the game. No one and I mean no one who loses wants to shake hands with the team that just defeated them! Dumb tradition!

I mean all the assistants have spent their life in CBB. I don't think they are world beaters, but I do think they probably understand CBB more and sometimes you just need a reset (See, Diebler, Jake)

Ya coached one game for us at a short handed Minnesota team and barely won the game.

We’ve been completely unserious from the moment Mike Woodson was hired to coach basketball. Nothing about the “process” has anything to do with winning basketball games. It’s about appeasing two program legends. Full stop. No one is saying he has to be fired right now, simply make the retirement announcement and let him finish the year. He probably gets cheered on senior night. Instead, we are supposed to believe this administration is fine with the optics of angry or empty Assembly Hall for the rest of the season? Don’t hire unqualified program legends in the first place. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

I'm aware. As I said, I think this season is a wash. But the team still has talent maybe a change in rotations and play style could see them improve? Who knows!

I knew he wasn’t being fired after the Illinois game, and I knew that there wasn’t and hasn’t been any sort of discussion that carries Woodson’s fate from game to game in the course of the current season. I’ve been clear about where this is headed, and when, and I haven’t wavered.

Such a definitive statement would imply you are sleeping with Scott Dolson. Are you sleeping with Scott Dolson?

As a 25-year employee, I hate to say it but you are correct in many ways. There are people who do get it, but they usually are not in decision-making positions.

Just a random example we had this week. We have 16 student hourlies working in our department. one of their bosses decided to do something nice for them and buy them pizza during a rough day. They ordered a supreme, a veggie and a cheese pizza with pecans for the students.

Not of them ate hardly any of it. First off order 5 pizzas and make it simple like pepperoni

Pecans on pizza? I can hear Italians screaming in horror.

@ap2345 We need to take our info to DM's since we give so many people bad info. We might as well include @JerryYeagley23too. Then people like Scotty and AH 1925, and Cathy don't have to read it.

Please Don’t do that. There are far more of us who appreciate the info and have enough brain cells to rub together to know it’s never going to be gospel.

Of course he wouldn't. But it would let him know that he's not going to get jerked around by IU in the same way Bruce Pearl allegedly did last offseason where you get to the point of talking numbers but then don't make a change (supposedly). May is a bad example of this because he is probably going to milk IU for a nice raise at Michigan anyway. But a guy like DeVries, Wade, etc...

Lol if you think Bruce Pearl was being jerked around by IU last year. The only way you seriously believe that is if you believe everything you read on this board....which proves my point.

If anything, Bruce Pearl was jerking Auburn around (at the expense of IU) to pander for the new basketball practice facility that he's asked for now for the last several years.

I didn't put enough conditions around that statement for you between allegedly and (supposedly) ?

It's an illustration ...

IMO, attacking other posters because they have a differing viewpoint makes no sense to me. I'm not talking about having a robust debate with them is perfectly fine, but to me, personal attacks are unbecoming and disrespectful.
I want Woody gone now and agree with the reasoning posters like Home Jersey and others have given for doing it now. I really thought it might happen this week, especially after seeing the photo of Dolson giving Woodson the daggers.
