So something like that if Stevens said no today, and Michigan found out they could offer Dusty a huge contract right now before the season is over. So then you have already struck out on your two big choices. So if we get rid of Woody before the end of the season then things look good for Stevens but if we wait till the end then it's probably already a college coach? Is this what your saying? I thought about this earlier… What if Kenya becomes the interim HC leads us to a NCAA tourney bid and wins a game. I’m guessing he could get some NcAA HC interest from smaller programs and might accept. I know we probably don’t want him as Indiana’s HC but what if he has a solid run to make the tourney, wins a game and wants to return as an assistant for the next HC say it be a Stevens who might not have a college staff built. Would Dolson allow Kenya’s return or does Scott not want anyone back from the Woodson era?

Following getting blown out at Purdue and Wisconsin, and heading into a home showdown with Michigan, his "retirement" is announced on either Thursday February 6, or Friday February 7. This way the news gets buried amidst the lead story of the upcoming Super Bowl, plus he is spared being humiliated by cascades of boos at Assembly Hall and the "We want Dusty" chants. I want Dusty, and I wanted him last offseason. But I hope people don't chant that, I think Dusty might take it as disrespectful and a turn-off. I do hope May gets a big ovation when he comes out though. hper50, 8bucks, WayneFleekHoosier and 1 other 4

He has the chops, the demeanor, and the personality to succeed here. Not many do. That being said, I don't think the admin would even give him an interview. Hoosierfanyuh, triple and Silat Player 3

I don't think being convicted of a crime is the barometer one must clear in order to be hired as Indiana's basketball coach. Todd Golden was investigated and cleared by Florida's Title IX department. Chris Beard wasn't cleared because charges weren't filed. Two different scenarios.

I just don’t know the logistics or legal protocol when showing interest in a potential coaching replacement when the current coach still has a job. I mean, if Woodson has been told he won’t be returning next year, all bets are off. Bottom line, I would imagine that Brad, Dusty and whoever else Dolson has his eye on stays in contact somehow through all this. If there is legitimate interest from Brad to IU still, then full steam ahead, I say. If not, then all focus needs to be finding a new #1. cthomas 1
