A lot changes in 4 years. The Celtics won a championship. The team is for sale, new owners might want to go in a different direction, and they have to unload some players here soon due to contracts, so going to be a rebuild. Kids are older, son is in college in Indiana, parents are older and live in Indiana. Might want to be closer to them. His contract is up in June anyway.

Previously, I worked in the management of an international airport system.  There are ways to drill into the information that you have provided.  This plane is owned by the Royal Air Freight Company.  It is flying out of a reliever airport in the Boston area.  The specific jet is a 7 seat Cessna 550 Bravo Citation.  A fine business jet. The Cessna 550 Citation Bravo is a light business jet that can seat up to seven passengers. It has a range of 2,187 miles and a cruise speed of 462 miles per hour. 

Speculating..this jet may be used by any paying passenger or passengers.  By taking the N63RA tail number and searching for details of flights, one can see at least the last 7 flights.  This plane gets around and does not seem to be flying just from Boston or just from anywhere in Indiana..

I actually think that working in the front office of an NBA team would be a huge advantage to navigating NIL at the college level. 

It would also be a good selling point that he’s been the orchestrator of winning at both levels. I have zero apprehension of the college game passing him by. Will he pull the trigger?  Some people are gonna look awfully smart if he does.

RE: Stevens, obviously sticking where he is makes the most sense on paper IMO. There are still valid reasons he could choose to come to IU though, and we know he is not deterred by general consensus of what he “should” or should not do. The Eli Lilly to Butler move proves that. Seems to me his choice would boil down to 1) minority ownership stake in one of the two most valuable NBA franchises vs 2) paid handsomely to return to his home state as a beloved figure and try to win the college title that eluded him at Butler. 

I know what I would choose, less clear to me how Brad and his family weigh things out.

You need to differentiate between 'human resources speak' for an employee that has been forced to resign, versus reality.

The reality is, when someone is offered and accepts resignation to avoid termination, the employer uses 'nice words' as part of the agreement for them to go away at a time of mutual agreement. Why does the employer do this? Because the dumped employee then also agrees to keep his mouth shut and because it creates less lasting drama for the organization.

I'd be absolutely floored by either of the first two. I have a hard time seeing someone leave the Celtics front office to coach college; his time away makes me think he may not be the sure thing he once was but he's shown he has a real mind for the game so he could very well figure it out.

Where would everyone rank Donovan on this list? I’m also surprised nobody has put the coach from Louisville on the list. How quickly he’s turned Louisville around is impressive
