They are already talking with him.  I wouldn’t be shocked if he is the coach at the end of the day.

Baloney.  30 minutes ago you said they were ‘talking to like 10 coaches right now.

Person I know says Woodson is done.  They are talking with like 10 coaches right now.  McCollum is one of them and has a pretty good chance.  Very likable.  They will go for the big dogs first but wouldn’t be shocked if it’s him either. Very likeable and a lot of coaches like him as well.

And the other 9 are?

I think he’s a bad fit.  But I also think he’s the most likely hire unfortunately.

Similar demeanor to Stevens. I think an Oats, Pearl, Otzwlberger are better fits

Nah.  Stevens is a lot more like Coach K.  I’m sure Dusty is an extremely nice guy and that’s a lot of the problem.

Harbaugh to Michigan is probably the best analogue to Stevens coming back. I say it’s a done deal…

I see people on a free message board talking about Stevens as a coaching possibility.  No harm in people wanting to believe something will happen.   Kind of what free message boards were made for.  Talking about possibilities

….not AH……lol

I guess my main concern is that when Steven's isn't hired it will come back as the administration was incompetent. People believe it is going to happen then when it doesn't happen they will blame people even though it wasn't ever a possibility.

My concern is if we don’t get Stevens, we end up with Woody part 2. I don’t think it will happen if Dolson has a say. But my main concern isn’t that we miss yet again on Stevens. That’s just Tuesday around here.

My only expectation is Dolson hires someone who knows how to coach. And that it will be his decision. Big name or not it doesn't matter. That's all I can hope or expect. If it's Steven's I will be elated. But I don't want to set my self up to be disappointed.

They can talk with a bunch.  Dolson has already reached out.  I just said don’t be shocked if he is the coach.

I don’t know if this has been brought up or if it is even a concern but how do we know if Stevens has the drive to even coach college basketball or if he developed some of same bad NBA habits that you see with Mike Woodson.  It just seems to me that NBA coaches have a lot less responsibility than college coaches.  They don’t have to recruit and develop players, all they have to do is develop offenses that fit their players, make starting lineups, and sub players. I know I’m downsizing it some but you see my point.  So could it be a concern?

Most of it sounds about right. I was told the first offer that happened last week was still 7 years 70 million but could go up to 12 million a year.

I have never heard anyone mention Schrews name. Woodson has been open in telling people that IU is going hard after Stevens.

The other stuff about family seems to be correct but not sure about the Boston wanting him to fulfill his contract.

Was this the Yeagley Bomb that we've been waiting on?
