To my knowledge, nobody has officially said he is for sure gone at the end of the season? He might think if they are only thinking of replacing him, that saying he is retiring after one more year, they might just let him finish rather than firing him. I don't think it would work, I am just saying he might do something like that and preempt his firing.

I think Woody thinks he is a lot more poplar than he actually is......

Not sure if this has been talked about...what is this nonsense Woodson is saying about "It's not right what the fans are doing to Trey Galloway". I guess I missed this. Why are we always the ones to blame because we want good basketball?? Trey is getting paid $500,000 to play basketball and get a free education...he will be okay. I am so sick of this program right now. I cannot support this current coaching staff and players. The most entitled bunch of...I'll stop there. 

I hope none of you are paying good money to go to a game this year. You deserve better. These players and coaches don't care one bit about the fans.

I would suggest that Dolson call Josh Heird and ask how to hire a basketball coach. Yes, Heird whiffed when he hired Kenny Payne but he was quick to pull the trigger when he knew the situation couldn’t be salvaged and fixed the situation.

Pat Kelsey should be the prototype for what IU goes after in a coach. Not only does IU the institution need a systemic change, but frankly the fan base does too. Time to look at the game for how it is, not how we remember it to be. Romanticizing got us in this mess — have to have an IU guy, have to have a Knight guy. How’s that worked out for us? Rest my case on that one.

Doesn't have to be Stevens, and as far as I’m concerned it won’t be. Doesn’t have to be Dusty, and if I had to hazard my guess, won’t be. Guys we’ve tossed the same tired names around for at least a decade and none of it has happened. You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I digress.

Woody finishes the season out. Not gonna be a move prior to the final game of the season. If anything, my take is that IU is gonna try to end this thing diplomatically for a guy who did give the Hoosier state many good times as a player. No sense expecting anything differently to be honest. Disagree if you wish, it’s a free country; but I do think Dolson is going to attempt an honorable out for Woodson and at least attempt to salvage his overall legacy as a player and yes, as a coach even if mediocre. If that’s what it takes to get thru this, so be it. 
 

If Woodson and Scott May are smart, they’ll take a step back, and understand that to drag this out any longer is seriously eroding both men’s overall legacies with the fans who love them. Hopefully someone close has their ears and is telling them exactly that. Woody, swallow your pride, announce your departure. Tell the fans you wanted better but just didn’t get it done, and let your legacy reestablish itself. Fans will respect that and give a few years you’ll be respected for at least attempting it. May, whatever it is you’re doing, stop it and see this for what it is. An experiment that hasn’t worked. Now save what’s left of your legacies at IU.

I agree this is the most likely way it ends....unless Woody wants to make it get ugly!

Don't believe the death threat thing for a second. If true, the police will get involved but to go on twitter and claim a coach in the program told you Woody is getting death threats - come on - why do that? Attention? 

The other part about a meeting about the fans booing. That - sure - I believe that may have happened. I'm just not sure what the substance of that meeting would be. "Scott, the fans keep booing me, what do we do?" "I don't know, Woody - maybe win?" Death threats (if true) are totally unacceptable but booing comes with the territory and honestly, it's well deserved. It's only going to get worse.

Not sure I believe it but if true it's definitely not ok. Just seems odd that all the burners come out talking about this at basically the same time and yet we have not heard anything about it here all day.

At this point, does anyone care about IU basketball enough to send death threats? i could definitely see it 20 years ago but now.. I'm kind of skeptical.

If he is getting death threats, that's unacceptable. It's just a game.

I would have guessed every major coach got death threats of some kind lol. Glad to hear it's rare and hopefully the police track these people down if true.

These burners have one job and one job only - shill for Mike Woodson. I would not put it past them in the slightest to make up a story about “death threats” to take some heat off Woodson. They’re not good faith actors.

I accidentally bought way over-priced tickets to OSU game. I thought I was buying tickets to the OSU football game in November. There may or may not have been alcohol involved in this incident. Regardless I knew I wouldn't be able to sell them for what I paid so I'll be going. Maybe something interesting will happen during senior speeches lol
