My brother was at a birthday party with some big wigs last night. They think a change is happening in season. I don’t know if today speeds that up. My gut says he gets the 2 road games too, but with the staff so divided and all the drama things could happen

The “janitor” who used to be connected long ago with Crean says a Loss today makes an impact.

I think people are guessing but I could see reason for a change now.

I don’t think the janitor was really that connected knowing who they really are. [emoji28]

Never heard of this 'national writer'. Is he like the Northern Iowa or Weber St of writers?

Is Mike Woodson  trying to schedule him for next season's pre-B1G schedule?

I will say I had to take my daughter somewhere so we were listening on the radio. Fisch was surprised with the end of game subscriptions. Then we lost and he said alot of angry fans are leaving here today. He said there will be alot to talk about mainly the late game sequence. So he knew right away it isn't going to be good for the staff

I don’t see how this loss is on the King. He shouldn’t have to tell them to foul when we had a foul to give. He can’t make Malik not score on his perfectly planned final play. He can’t help that randomly putting in players with 3 seconds left wouldn’t confuse Maryland. And he can’t help it if Rice misses a gimme as the clock expires.

I could see a mid-season change if we lose by at least 20+ (which I expect)  at both PU and Wiscy. The optics of those two blowouts, and then coming home to play against Dusty, will be obvious to the administration (except Buckner), donors and anyone else affiliated with the program.

5 games back in the loss column from 1st at the halfway point of the B1G.

More scary is what is to come. Can you realistically find more than 3 wins in here? The question may be whether IU makes the B1G tourney not the NCAA tourney

UCLA, Penn St., Wash, and Ohio St.  That gets us to 9 conference wins.  We pick up one against the others, and we are NCAA bubble bound.  The "math" still works folks.  But, the Maryland loss is the first nail in the coffin.

Did we ever find out who it was? I always figured it was somebody that worked for Crean because he went silent for a long time after Crean was fired.

Woodson buyout drops to 50% of remaining salary at March 31st, 2025 essentially reducing buyout from $8.4M to $4.2M, are they waiting on that?

Not anymore.  When he got his 2023 raise (smh) his buyout flipped to the full amount of his contract, no step downs.  We owe him $4.2M this season and $8.4M for the next two seasons no matter when he is let go.  It stinks.  Buyout is payable at $1M per year though, which helps us absorb it over time.

FWIW,

Torvik only has us favored against Penn State (3.5 points), Washington  (0.8) and OSU (1.5).
It’s going to be ugly. Real ugly.

What kind of resume would that be? If you are comparing bubble teams, how many make it in without any real good wins.

So you have them winning every game they are favored in or a toss up and one they shouldn't? Have you seen this team coached/play?
