Look I’ve fully put myself on the Brad train again. I actually went down a rabbit hole a few months ago to convince myself it may be possible someday and it makes so much sense. Im ready to be hurt again

Agreed.  At least not early.  All this talk about the “transition” is BS.  If he’s gone, launch him and move on to the next guy.  Takes a few hours, max.  It would be so IU to drag this out.  My guess is the Buckner crew is trying to rally the troops and thwarting the ultimate decision.   Best we can hope for is in the next week or two Woodson will announced he’s retiring at the end of the season.  They’ll do it before the next home game hoping he can pick up a win or two at Ohio State and NW — try to have a positive vibe to fall back on.

In general all things not Woody, he does a good job. He’s also oddly critical of Dusty May over the past 2 seasons.

I'm not. Last time we went down this hole we ended up hiring a guy no one wanted because he played here 40 years ago.

It'd be an exciting hire, no doubt, but he'd be leaving a really good job. Even May would be leaving a good job at UM. I've got reservations that either would make the move.

Woj is a notorious mouthpiece for NBA agents and front offices. Whomever he got his info for this story wanted the message to be that Stevens clearly had no interest.

That’s not accurate. In person meetings were had and an offer like that was definitely made.

I stated earlier I believe that. But whoever was feeding him the story wanted it out that Steven’s had no interest. Could’ve been Steven’s camp or the Celtics front office.

It was a combination of both. They wanted it downplayed.
