It would take a long losing streak and continually losing every game to a decent opponent by 20+ points, but it could happen.

two in a row is a good start...

Luke Goode on fans lashing out:

“I understand it. We got embarrassed. We have to wear this jersey with more pride. As Indiana Basketball players this program is too historical and too great to be represented like that. But to all the fans that were booing and so negative on social media just don’t switch sides when we get this thing turned around. We all got confidence in our coaches and teammates so stay on our side for when we start being successful again.”

That’s a great answer by Luke Goode.

Mich was so desperate to get back on track. It’s been mentioned here, but he allegedly turned down Louisville bc they wanted a higher buyout. If May doesn’t get the IU job, Mich will renegotiate his buyout.

This guy must be diehard Iu to be shopping for jobs that allow home to come home.

There’s a tweet that Dolson had him lined up last offseason but QB shut it down.  Dolson probably asked to give him one more year.

I’ll bet there is a chance he gets terminated if we get blown out in both of the upcoming road games.  The administration might want to avoid the booing, fire Mike Woodson chants etc that would occur at the Maryland home game (and after that we go to PU and Wiscy…LOL).

If we split the two road games, however, he will probably cling on. The wheels HAVE to be turning in Bloomington. We will see.

It’s so bad that it wouldn’t shock me in the least if at Purdue, they skip the IU Sucks chant and start an “Extend Woodson” chant.

IMO, half of it was on point. These guys need to focus less on social media and more on hitting the gym. They should stop worrying about what fans are saying—if that's their only source of motivation, then the program is in even worse shape than I thought. Fans being critical shouldn't affect them - they are paid like professionals and maybe that's part of the arrogance players seem to have these days. The problem we have is they haven't done anything to warrant that arrogance. Absolutely nothing. You got smacked on your home floor. Take it and don't say a word about that fans. Without us, they aren't making a fraction of what they do.

If social media is a problem, delete it or at least remove them from your phone if you can't resist the temptation (most people can't). Start winning, and the boos will stop. Play with the intensity you showed in the first few minutes of the second half throughout the entire game, and no one will be booing regardless of the score. Crean's first team got murdered frequently but they played their ***** off. I still look back at that team and respect every single one of those guys. At the very least, fans want to see effort and a sense that you care. Complaining about negative fans on social media comes off as weak.

No it is not.  Not anywhere close.  He's basically doing the fkg "true fan" bullchit from last year.  He should have said, once we get this thing turned around we'll welcome all of those fans back that we disappointed.

He's making it sound like to boo this team is to be a bandwagon fan.

Losing this badly naturally gets this kind of visceral reaction from a fan base.  I know it's sometimes out of your control but it's not because the fans are going to ditch you and join, I dunno, Auburn.

No way Kentucky or North Carolina would put their program and their fans through this....coach would have already stepped down!

It wouldn't have gotten to this point at UK. He would've been gone last year.

People complain about out fans, if their AD kept this clown around those fans would've had the HC and AD heads on a spike on the edge of town.
