The good old what if argument. Woody is not having a miracle second half comeback against Michigan in the B1G tourney away from missing the tourney 2 out of his 3 years. These are dumb arguments. Results are results. May won that game and went to Final 4. Woody won that game and another game against Illinois to barely make the tourney as the second to last team in and got blasted in the first round by St Mary’s Chris007, Hoosierinbham, Home Jersey and 22 others 23 2

You can do this for every coach. Brad Stevens caught some incredible breaks early in his two title game runs at Butler. The results are the results, and May's teams have been better than Woodson's for the last 2.5 seasons running. Despite May having 10X less resources at FAU. Hornsby, mamasa, Chris007 and 4 others 7

Glad to help you understand. They both are very bad coaches in their own way! I would call it a toss up but in Miller’s defense, Woodson has had the transfer portal and NIL bail him out or Miller would have been outshining him

It’s why a guy like Sig can go from place to place and win — just move the process from one location to another. Woodson doesn’t have a process — recruiting is hap hazard at best, training (cliff marshal) is the same as the last guy, offense/defense schemes are weak, player development is hit or miss, etc. If sound processes were in place, the single season results wouldn’t matter - you could overlook the down year as he reloads. Wins would take care of themselves. choosierred1, Hornsby, 8bucks and 10 others 13
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 This thrashing Iowa is going to give us was so easily predicted. This is a decent Iowa team and they are good at home. But if you are Woodson and you want some good MoJo you win a game like this to create some believers amongst the fanbase. TTT Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 Outdated 6,000,000 dollar man (hefty coaches salaries) buys a 6,000,000 dollar team. I suppose that doesn’t buy much. Iowa will keep this pressure at their pace up and IU will crack mentally and out of shape. Hornsby 1
cbp4iu Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 Our potential is severely lowered because of our coach and roster build. We are just going to be stuck on the floor of this team. IU will win a couple big ones but also will get blown out or look terrible other games. When the going gets tough this team has no style of play that can match numerous 10-0,12-0 runs in games.

KnightsChair Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 It’s so upsetting to watch this team. To think we had a shot at Bruce Pearl or Dusty May and decided to retain Coach Woodson is frustrating to say the least. I am predicting a 4-7 record over these next 11 games, including tonight. Then Brad Stevens takes the job once Woodson retires at the end of the season. A few mediocre seasons before hanging 3 more banners in Assembly Hall. Order restored in the College Basketball landscape. Chris007 and thebigweave 2

IUCrazy2 Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 The fools gold of the bottom of the conference has passed. We got 11 more teams as good or better than us one after the other after the other. Woodson sucks.
