Stop the Pearl talk — he’s 3 years younger than Woody. One middling year and we’re right back here, worried about succession plans. Plus he makes more than IU currently pays its coach. You hire a coach for his future, not his past.

I will not stop

Re “proven”: Dan Hurley was 2-4 in the ncaa tournament until he won six straight last year.

There are no guarantees but you don’t have to pick someone who’s got a long track record, there are other ways to know if someone’s a good basketball coach.

I don’t think this administration can identify those, though, so I think they need to bring in a proven winner.

When national media guys have endorsed moving on from you, you're done. Vitale is the ultimate bootlicker for college basketball coaches. Even the ones who acted like we gave Crean and Miller a raw deal are seeing the light on this one.
When you has lost vitals he usually sticks up for coaches.

Like a guy who went to the F4 last year and is so much better than any prior coach at his school as to be incomparable? I guess that’s my issue with “proven” “winner,” it’s slippery and in the eye of the beholder.

Nobody’s hiring away a guy on this list, and on degree of difficulty, getting FAU that far is hard to top.

When quinn is making our hires hope is not high.

I didn't see where he lost Vitale ... just that he said it's been a mediocre season

Let’s be logical…

It would have been negligent for Dolson to NOT have at least lightly back-channeled new coaching interest after the Penn State loss. It would be completely reckless for him NOT to be aggressively back-channeling after tonight.

If Quinn’s got Scotty’s wings clipped, there’s a time in everyone’s life where they have to stand up for themselves. Otherwise you lose your dignity and self worth. And, Kroger’s hiring managers!

That video that was posted breaking down Woodson and the Knicks should squash any idea that he'll make real changes. His Knicks teams had the same problems; so either we're seeing what he wants or he's incapable of fixing the problems.

Dolson etc should watch that, then they should know the problems won't be fixed.

Woodson won't leave he will burn it all down claiming his system works.
