But, if that's the case, and with all due respect to X, he should head to Hollywood after graduation. From the sound of it, I thought his arm was split in two, a la Joe Thiesmann I turned away and couldn't watch any replays. :) Personal feelings on X as a person aside, and I’m not medical by profession or Holiday Inn Express, but I’m told a dislocation, hyperextension, etc. without a break can feel and sound like something snapping. My opinion is that what you saw and heard was fear and years of frustration from knowing the difficulty of rehab for his past injuries. X certainly plays a style of ball that looks to accentuate contact and draw fouls, but anyone who knows him will tell you he’s probably the toughest guy on the team and would have loved to have hopped up off the floor after hitting the deck and walked to the free throw line with a “can’t phase me” scowl on his face. Just my two cents. But it wasn’t a Hollywood worthy moment. hoosierfan6157, IU_FanClub, Chris007 and 8 others 8 3 Quote

I don’t hate that as an adjustment, and I would agree we’re helping less and giving less spot up 3’s. That’s a good thing. But just going under like that still led to a bunch of open 3’s. They were just off the dribble which some guys have trouble with. Others will still make us pay. To that point Sandfort was redhot and in that last clip and you saw Galloway chase…going under on a guy like him would be a death sentence. tldr: typically you don’t go under to help your 3pt def. Quite the opposite. But since ours stemmed from terrible bouts of overhelping, it actually increases our help defenders chances of not getting out of position. Nice quick fix wrinkle by the staff. Not a long term solution, imo Quote

JSHoosier Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 I don't think the biggest sunshine pumper would've predicted Leal would finish with the most made 3s and be tied for 2nd most rebounds on the team. thebigweave 1 Quote

If Cupps even touched him at all, it was barely a tap on the arm. Zero chance a ref even thinks about calling that back in the day. I agree they don’t get calls they use to but that’s a foul every time by Cupps. Hit him in the face trying to block it WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
