Mbacko didn’t play defense today. That hurt us a whole bunch. The obvious is the perimeter shooting and free throws. This is my least favorite team since Crean’s start from scratch year.

Can't understand how anybody at IU would think another year of Woodson is going to benefit anyone but our opponents.

It was an awful call but they scored easily on leal the next possession after we missed 2 fts to tie it. If we finished within one possession I’d be more salty. But there were 3 or 4 mor possessions that gave them the game easily on their own merit.

Reneau knows he’s gonna miss the tourney.  Really a shame. He’s excellent but he doesn’t get much help.  This roster Woody put together is criminal.  I feel really bad for Reneau and Gallo, they leave it all out there.  
 

seems Woody is done with Banks, Gunn too. We will need an entirely new team next year and I guess maybe that’s ok but………

That final minute of regulation is the culture of this program in a nutshell: down 2 and at the line...brick, brick. Need a stop...don't get it. Losing team making losing plays.

Agreed. Problem is we get another “rebuild” year. I have zero confidence we get back to a winning program with out some serious changes top to bottom. It wouldn’t have mattered if we won today……

Exactly, good teams want to go to the free throw line.  It’s an advantage to score with the clock stopped. You prepare for it. It’s good strategy. I can’t understand this lack of toughness from the line.

Played harder but when  Reneau fouled out I knew it would be difficult to when.  When Xavier Johnson missed those two free throws, that pretty much done us in, and that foul called on X was horrible.

Good effort today and happy for small victories. However, the IU standard should be that we put this away at the line no less!

Woodson has to change his style or this is all moot. And I pose this question again…Why would anyone want to play in this system?

Woody has to retain Reneau this off season.
 

I hate to say it…but if I was Reneau, I’m listening to every big time program and moving on to somewhere that I can cash a huge NIL check and make a run at a championship.
