Don't know if there is an Auburn game thread yet where this would probably fit better, but I enjoyed this interview with Kaleb Banks for a variety of reasons lol. Seems like a good young man with his head on straight, haven't heard him talk at length before this clip... and very promising player as a sophomore. I really hope we get to continue watching him grow here! SIAP.

When asked about 2nd unit practicing against the 1st unit…. He allllmost cracked a grin. lol

Gonna have to bring a lot of energy and toughness. Pearl is going to make sure his guys bring it. This will be B1G level physically and they will have the athletes to run without any doubt.

I haven’t seen them play this year. 
Anyone have have thoughts in regards to their backcourt vs ours?  Will we be able to handle their guards defensively ?

I watched their early season game vs Baylor and it was a track meet. Both sides had phenomenal guard play from what I can remember.

That was awesome. He would know first hand being the coach at USI in the 90s! Guy I coached basketball with played on Pearl's two teams that he took to the National Championship game in '94 (runner-up) and '95 (Won it all). He still talks to Pearl quite a bit. Pearl will even invite him to different road games from time to time. Say what you want about him but I am sure a lot of coaches would big time their former players at the smaller schools. Not Pearl. He is always there for his players. I always enjoyed hearing stories about Pearl. Always talked about how he preached that practices have to be harder than the actual game. Knowing Pearl, guy I coached with played EVERY kid on the team...even too much at times. But, that's what he was taught at USI. You are going to be so tired from the way we play that you are going to have to use the bench. Obviously tomorrow I hope Auburn loses by 100, but the other days of the year I root for them.
