Took him minute but had a solid game.

14 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, 1 steal, 1 block in 20 minutes. Started the game 1-4 from the floor and finished 6-9. Had 3 or 4 dunks.

Had a nice game. It was probably eye opening for him the number times he closed out on shooters with college-level casualness and they just buried 3’s over him. He’ll fix it.

It'll be a massive change yet again when he shares the floor with Arguably the 2 greatest shooters of all time. And I'm sure he will get his chance to share the floor with two of the best point guards of all time at the same time in Curry and CP3.

I hope TJD has a great season but don't base anything you see in tbe summer league. I have seen plenty of players look great in summer league that never did anything in the NBA

If he gets adequate playing time he will perform. Problem for many of these guys is they don’t get the leash the earlier “value/potential” picks get.

I think a few of the teams are changing the narrative on how you can win.

Coach Kerr is a fan. As a second round pick, TJD appears to be extremely likely to stick around, and to get in-game looks:

What an awesome compliment for Trayce! It gives Coach Woodson and Co., as well as IU Basketball, great credibility. A current NBA coach, (theoretically) complimenting the product of a former NBA coach. I love it! What a great tool to use for potential recruits......

Yup. Speaks highly of the staff’s ability to develop, because 2 years ago Trayce was not an NBA rotation piece. Also speaks to Trayce’s willingness to be coached and pushed. Under Archie that just wasn’t gonna happen.
