Feels like a huge lack of preseason respect for IUBB is out there.

We have three 5 stars in our starting lineup, only 1 of whom is a freshman.

Also returning our experienced starting PG who is unarguably top 3 in his position in the B1G.

Trey Galloway is the other starter, and he'd be starting if he was on the #3 team in the country. No doubt he'd be at worst 6th man on most if not all Power 5 teams.

If all of the above was still applicable but our name was "Kentucky" then we'd probably be no worse than top 15.

Rant over.

This is me all off season.

If Indiana can win that Empire Classic, the expectations are going to really change for this team.

Absolutely. Especially because winning the Empire Classic would mean beating both UConn and Texas... Beating Louisville won't mean much this year. Still would be nice to give them a whoopin if we find ourselves across from them...

If we can get Sparks back, that would be huge. Soooo curious to see Ware vs. some bigger stronger guys.

I won't be surprised if we see Mack get close to the freshman scoring record a few times this year. The Garden would be a hell of a place for him to make a statement. Couldn't help myself and bought a ticket for the second day of games too lol

Never been less sure about an IU team since I can remember. I've not always been "right" in the preseason, but I was at least sure of how I felt. This year I just have no clue what to expect. I'm ready to ride the roller coaster with you'ns.

Let's get strapped in and enjoy the ride, I think it will be a good one with some scary parts. Definitely won't be the old log ride at Santa Clause land.

I feel the same way and you didn’t even mention that our 2nd unit having the potential of being good with very little drop off.  IU has been disrespected by the pollsters a lot and honestly, I like that because it will have this team become more focused with a chip on their shoulders.  Teams become more focused when they have a chip on their shoulders!

I have to admit, as someone that stays up to date as much as possible, and is wearing the most crimson collared glasses as possible. This 2nd unit talent is massively surprising me. We honestly could pull of the hockey style lineup change. Talk about the "experts" being totally exposed ...... They make a living out of being WRONG. maybe.

I think Walker is flying way below the radar.  He is probably the most athletic that I've watched play.  If this kid can get some control he is definitely a catalyst on this team.

He certainly can be. Banks, Gunn, Sparks all have ability to be a catalyst game by game as well. This is what makes IU so dangerous, any given night a new guy off the bench has the ability to wreck opponents gameplan. IU has the opportunity for diversification of lineups that we haven't had in my fan career (20 years).

Then you add in guys like Gallo Cupps and X who defensively are smothering and make hustle plays routinely.. MM/Ware can go off scoring on any given night. I've said it before on here and I'll say it again, Indiana and Mike Woodson have been DISRESPECTED nationally. Commentators talked about IU's cohesiveness all offseason and talked up MSU.. It's INDIANA it's INDIANA

Well this looks pretty friggin’ good. DVR is set.

Fun fact: The guy (or at least one of the ppl) doing camera work lives in my neighborhood here in Nashville. He was with the team for the NCAA tourney last year. He does a lot of cool stuff across college sports but I’m  pretty sure he’s an IU guy. I dont think we can imbed instagram stuff but here’s my attempt: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Czzmb8DuzH8/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Did Mgbako's little Taco Bell incident mess with him mentally, is he struggling to adjust to college life, or could there be something else going on with him that we don't know about? I usually don't like to over-analyze and speculate on players' mannerisms, but the dude just seems like he's on another planet right now. When I saw his highlights back in the spring, I felt he was going to be one of the best players we'd seen here in awhile. It's like he's not even the same guy anymore. Just so bizarre.
