It’s a very weak draft class this year. He needs to go if he wants a shot at the second round.

Thinking he'd be anywhere near an NBA roster after this game and that he should go now instead of ever is about as strange as your belief that keeping Archie around would have somehow eventually landed us a better coach.

51 points tonight.

Was that Archie over there on the sideline? ;)

Did we move on from a coach who’s defensive system took 3 years to learn for a coach who’s offense take 3 years to learn?

We need more offensive firepower. I think JHS will help but can Bates make a leap? Can Gunn come in and contribute?

Nobody is done with him. I just think one of the IU greats would’ve stepped up. It’s NW. He’s bullied lesser teams all year. Nobody is asking him to outplay Cockburn tonight. Just disappointing he’s not progressed to that level. I felt the same way about zeller, and he was much better than TJD.

You need those players to be a big time program.

Go back and read the posts.  It was flat out stated here.

I completely agree with this point. The 5 guys out tonight cannot put their team in this position and deserve all the criticism for tonight's result. To pretend tonight was somehow on the 6 guys on the floor "no show'ing" is my primary point of contention. That's a completely unfair assessment.

This got lost in a flurry of pissed off immediate postgame reactions, but this is it. Tonight’s team and “the program” are very separate things right now.

He’s going to get drafted, he’s a second round pick.

Will he be on a roster next year? No. But he’ll get a G-League spot.

I don’t see it. They are disciplined. They are going to pop us in the mouth and we will fold like a lawn chair

You are me from the last 3 years. I think this team is better and will find a way to make the tourney. I think that more after tonight than I did before the Illinois game. Guys have their manhood challenged (essentially) and I think we have some men on this roster. I say we somehow end up 10-10 at minimum but 11-9 is what I truly expect. There are some adults (albeit some are very young) on this team. I hope everyone is angry and hungry from here on out.

If we did that’s not a bad thing. I can teach most high schoolers effective defense in half a season. A good motion type offense takes multiple years.

This might be the best loss we take all year.

Lets see how we respond.

I agree. I hope they come out on fire after this. Not sure what happened but coach Woodson is a smart guy. He wouldn’t have done this just to send a message. Something major happened.

Cool, people are 'done with TJD'.

You should be done with Lander.  Finally was getting a chance to get minutes and ****ed it up.

Be done with X, who finally has a chance to be in the NCAA tournament and might have ****ed it up for everyone involved.

Be done with Parker Stewart who hasn't shown that he even really wants to be on the court.

I agree with this. I also understand the frustration with TJD. If he’s supposedly one of the captains and the leader of the team then he’s doing an awful job. He doesn’t lead on the court and he apparently doesn’t command respect or authority off the court either. I remember listening to Alford talk about how Knight would punish him for his teammates not doing what they were supposed to be doing…. Bc he was the captain and leader of the team.if TJD is the leader of this team then his peers don’t respect him as such. That’s a problem moving forward.

The 5 suspended players are completely selfish for their actions and honestly I wouldn’t lose any sleep if they were all gone after the season is over.

Remember when TJD talked about a players meeting to talk about that old e word and listening to the coach? Remember when the players were going to listen and fight for Woody?

Really glad the players showed him respect and fought for him...

I was joking in a sense. Woodson and company have some nice sets for our players here and there. TJD wasn’t very active tonight and NW didn’t do anything special to knock him off his game. But we all know TJD can have his games when he’s not aggressive.

The players played a lot of minutes, no point guard. We had to let Leal and Trey play with Race and TJD which hardly ever happens, especially for a long duration like tonight. A lot of variables into things that could’ve gone wrong tonight, happened.

This was said in jest a bit - but this is college basketball you only get 4 years with the guys and likely less than that if they are of any quality for a big time program in a power conference. Find someone to get the ball in the basket. Understand tonight was an outlier with only 6 guys but less than 60 points in two straight games is awful

This is true. And as I’ve posted several times I trust woody on this discipline issue.

But program…? That’s got nothing to do with tonight. I don’t follow recruiting, but this team needs a huge influx of talent. Without that there’s no program.

I’m not even mad at the TEAM that played tonight. Galloway besides those 2 hook and holds played a hell of a game. It’s the 5 that got suspended that I’m very upset with. Then when you do get in trouble be a good teammate. Don’t pout on bench. I don’t know very disappointed tonight in those 5. We all make mistakes. But it’s how we don’t make multiple in the same season and a few players have done that. Those players need extra consequences

Side note: again, I hate recruiting rankings anymore but I’m extremely concerned Duncomb didn’t even see the floor tonight. That is not good. I didn’t expect too much of him this year but considering the circumstances I felt he would’ve gave IU 10 decent minutes tonight.
