Live your life to the best of your ability and let the chips fall where they may. I can speak to a roomful of people and it’s amazing how many ways the things I’ve said get taken. People are greatly influenced by their own experiences and those don’t change easily. Sorry... I’m jumping off my soapbox now.

First, anyone holding out hope that this is all part of some elaborate ruse will ultimately be sorely disappointed. Second, like others, I lost a lot of respect for Stevens due to his performance at the press conference today. Frankly, he came off as a bit pathetic. The pandering to a fan base that wants your head on a stick isn't some kind of Machiavellian, next-level genius thing. It was just an awkward dude trying to fit in. That having been said, he's still a great coach and would have been the ideal fit had he wanted to come. But he doesn't. So on to the next one. I was hopeful that Stevens would come coach IU but in reality it's just a game. It's not your life. It's not your character. Just tell them "I was wrong". Life goes on. There are multiple coaches, with multiple approaches, that can succeed at Indiana. The last 20 years have shown us that not everyone can do the job... but someone can. It is the job of Scott Dolson to find that person. He seems focused and reasonably competent. Give him time. In the meantime? Enjoy life. Those who know you best and love you will still continue to do so. They'll understand that circumstances outside of your control changed but you are passionate about the game and program.
