There's Ben a Few suggesting that there is Buzz that IU 's next coach will be a real Pearl, that they have scored a Golden goal if you Will. They may be Wright or college guys may be the Otz man out and it may be an NBA guy.  If you believe all the BullS. All I know is tomorrow me and all the Mick's will be celebrating that Celtic holiday in style.

See my post from Tuesday.  I tried telling you fine folks - McCollum or DeVries.   I could not resist in returning to this board and fear that I'm here for the long haul... 

I will field questions after the announcement.  

Just saying:

If they gave me the opportunity to sign Devries or McCollum to IU right now at the cost of eliminating all other candidates?

I’d jump at that and be thrilled.

i just can’t buy myself to believe the hire is Brownell or McCollum if Will Wade is out there , has reached out with interest and IU said no thanks . This is exhausting 

IU not wanting Will Wade just means that IU doesn't want Will Wade. It doesn't mean they have a big time hire. They just might not like the risk he brings.

I think a "home run" hire doesn't necessarily = Stevens. It could be the unknown out of left field guy (BD) or simply a big name still coaching (or not). The smoke seems to indicate someone has been signed or agreed to. Regardless, I think a home run hire means it's a crowd pleaser.

So not necessarily 'definitive', as you said.

Anyway, it is a little interesting that posters who are our 'insiders' didn't mention Stevens by name, just general happiness.  Chris' words about it being a home run or grand slam (whichever you consider it) leaves it open to it being a big hire that isn't necessarily Stevens.  And there are names that are currently college coaches and some that are not that all fit that category.
