General Coach Candidate News

I think if they were talking about one rumor in particular, they would have simply stated it.  On this board alone we have talked about rumors of Stevens, May, Cronin, and freaking Brownell.  And even then the rumors we have read have been different ones for each candidate.

I know some IU media folks so I know what these two think on Stevens specifically.

But as I always say, I so want them to be wrong.

We really need to find a way to relax for a month. Nothing is happening right now

I have to agree with this statement. I don't see Indiana / Dolson doing a single thing publicly until Indiana is eliminated in the conference tournament.

It's either Brad Stevens or a current head coach in D1 that will be playing in March Madness. We have a long ways to wait. This is just a unique situation as our last two openings were in the off-season, we haven't had a mid-season firing since Sampson basically.

They may have, but they certainly didn't think enough of it to put it in print.  Would have been infinitely easy of them to say 'the majority of rumors have been crap -- as was shown to be by Stevens' denial'.

Can we at least get the weather to turn warm here so I can at least be outside

Forget getting through he next month -- IU doesn't play for another week so this thread is likely to get even farther out there.

Hopefully Woodson and the rest of the staff have started cleaning out their offices this week. Listening clothing on Facebook Marketplace, all the above.

I'm waiting for Mrs. Walsh to start posting. I'm going to be all over it this time.

My son got a boat load from Walsh last time.  Even had special seating and backstage passes for HH last year.

We toss around IU's NIL in many posts - but which would you take

1) A top 2 or 3 coach in the game but only 1/2 the current NIL

2) Top NIL in the country and slightly above average coach

Actually a fun question. I would lean to the money, but St Mary’s doesn’t even  have a top 10 roster at the mid-major level and they’re currently 21 in KenPom on the strength of the best coach in the country and a lot of returning guys.

Wife and I are headed to St. Croix in 2 weeks.

You have my proxy to vote on the prospective coach candidate's name that is submitted for approval by the loudest on this site.

I appreciate that. I hope you guys have a wonderful time. I will vote for whoever will make the board the most disappointed
